I see.. well, I hope that you'll be able to get some off of steam when they have those special offers  :)

I'm still hearing and seeing new things.

The other night after clearing out the Petro Sahel terminal, I grabbed a dune buggy and headed east. I could hear that something was pursuing me. I wasn't too concerned as I was off road and figured I'd be able to out maneuver what I assumed was an AT or Jeep.

Boy...was I surprised when the big truck performed a PIT maneuver and spun me around in to a rock. I can't recall ever being pursued by one of the big trucks. Wish I had looked behind me. That huge truck going turbo across the desert must have been a sight.

Just a few hours ago, and for the first time, I successfully killed the a$$hole Prince in the safe house and kept the ring for myself. Later in a firefight at the lake's edge I was taking pistol fire from an unknown source. It was coming from a wounded merc underwater.  ;D

Ah!  The old sub-merc-ible trick.  Got that on my second or third play through at the conclusion of the 2nd half opening Barge Escort mission as I was mopping up at the marina.  It took me forever to find him and clear the mission.   :D

And yeah those big trucks can move really fast when we're not the ones driving them.   ???

I too had to find (and kill) that amphibious merc over at marina after the barge mission, a couple of times.  The first time took forever, he drove me nuts!  >:(( :-D The second time I remembered it might be him, again, so I took him out with a couple of 'nades  >:D

And yes, trucks must have a secret button to go turbo, only accessible to mercs. Usually they're not really talented drivers, so that turbo causes them a lot of trouble if you trick them a little  ;D The best thing you can do for fun is to have the chasing truck connect with the back of your ride, release your gas pedal and let them push you.. you'll start to worry at how fast you're going  ;D

It happened to me on my first playthrough after rescuing the barge at the marina! I got a mission complete message and was just wandering around the place checking for ammo and grenades when I got shot... and again and again! it was driving me mad! I then figured out the same as you, a wounded guy from underneath the water. It wasn't deep enough for the game to consider to drawn the merc but as he was laying on the ground I couldn't see him!  8)

in my case he's basically always in the water between the weapons dealer and that wooden jetty, mostly at the edge of that wooden jetty that points to the arms dealer.

That's the same spot for me too.

There must be something in the game code right at that spot (and possibly others spots) allowing an injured merc to fall to the ground right there that doesn't recognize that they are in water even though they are covered by the water graphics.

I suspect it's a bugged spawn point where he spawns under water.

It seems to be the same place where I had this same glitch, but come? Maybe the merc "route" is too short to allow him to be away from that bugged spot, so any player will always kill him there and he might always fall below the water line but - if he's wounded but not dead - keep firing at you!

Pounding the shoreline with the barge mounted grenade launchers is a quick solution. ;)
