I'm not, but would like to hear about it...

It sure does - how are we ever going to find the time to play them all!  I'll tell you what though, when one of us gets a game, he can act as the "go to" guy for game play advice.  Most of us on the site seem to appreciate the same general kinds of things (after all we're FC2 fans).

JRD

I really think the umbrella plan of yours will take off...
something like an "openworldgames.com" or "sandboxgames.com"
D_B will do maps of his favourite games, someone will take care of other titles he is not too interested in.
You, me, spaceboy, spearhead, DKM2 and others will create walkthroughs, hints, tips, posts of pics, videos, "memorable moments" and so forth...
Sounds like a lot of w@&k..... but as long as it's funny, no problem

Good names jrderntl,

And you're correct - as long as we keep it fun, I'm sure that we'll all enjoy the experience.  As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we do not get the "frustrated" or otherwise complaining posts on our site.  We mostly appear to be mature gamers that are more interested in finding a way to circumvent issues and remain positive about our experiences.  I for one, truly love to see/read about other's adventures in the game, especially the video!  (I almost become excited like a kid at Christmas when I see that there is new video posted!)

spaceboy

The game looks great.  Nice find.  I hadn't heard of it yet.

As for the side topic, you know I'm in.  Being involved with this site has been nothing but positive - and fun!

I did play Just Cause 1 a little and found it ok.....but it's built on old game engines and the graphics are not so advanced like FC2. Gameplay is dynamic though. JC2 should be better in graphics and all.
Don't knock on Heaven's door. Ring the bell and...run! He hates it. :)

Wow, talk about a blast from the past (5 months ago seems like ages).  Just look at the little discussion we had about what was not even OWG at the time!

Anyways, see the link above for some more updated game info.

Truly a blast from the past!  I remember the conversation clearly although I could not remember which thread it was located within.  Cheers to JRD for coming up with the name "openworldgames" I just changed the .com to .org because we are not a commercial outfit.

JC2 looks good and a couple of screen captures remind me of another game I wanted to get - set in a Mexican town or some south-of-the-border place - now I don't recall the name - do you remember that one space?

JRD

That would be Boiling Point

Reading back through the posts I almost thought Spearhead22 was back!!! But then I saw "Posted on April, 11th"  :(

Thanks JRD - I knew someone would remember - my memory is just so bad these days  ;D

spaceboy

yeah, I would not have remembered Boiling Point.  Gotta look at that again though - PZ's description sounds good.

I read some bad reviews about BP... bugged, dumb AI, weird missions, bad story etc... check some vids at youtube too!

IIRC a patch sorted that stuff out. Its a very good game, but I love RPG's so maybe I'm a tad biased and forgive alot of stuff, if the kernel of the game has that indefinable "it" factor.

Thanks Fiach... good to know about that patch.  :-X

The game had potential if I remember correctly. You are arrive in a South American country to rescue your daughter and w@&k for different factions gathering clues, cash, weapons etc...

Can be something to look out soon  8)
