Found out the hard way last night that the 1.02 trainer is not compatible with FC2 1.03. Instant trip back to the desktop. Luckily, the Radiance team have released a 1.03 version of their trainer, which you can get here

http://www.radiance-team.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=336 link no longer valid, see below

Just click the download link. Tried it last night and it works fine. Same shortcut keys, doesn't seem to be any different other than it works on 1.03

just a tip for those of you who download stuff like that (including myself)

you can upload the unpacked exe for an online virus-scan that currently uses 41 anti-virus progs to scan your uploaded file. Apparently the English version of the site doesn't w@&k (for me) but it's just like uploading to our gallery. Upload file, and you'll get an instant scan and the report unrolls while you watch.

Sometimes the same file had been uploaded by someone else, you'll then see when and can either choose the left button "Zeige die letzten Ergebnisse" (show last results) or the right button "Analysiere die Datei" (scan file) which results in a fresh scan.

use this:

http://www.virustotal.com/de/

The report just now shows

Antivirus (scanner name) / Version / letzte Aktualisierung (last updated) / Ergebnis (result)

sorry it looks better there, but so you get an idea:

Very useful information, both of you.  I'm going to use the trainer to create a different level of immersion for me.  While traveling through the countryside I'd like the mercs to ignore me, but when I reach a destination where I want to start a fight... as they say in the game... "Let's get this on!"

Dweller_Benthos

Unfortunately, the trainer doesn't do AI ignore - you can only do that from the command line and it's an either/or proposition. I suppose you could turn it on, drive to where you want to go, save the game, close, restart without the command and resume the game from there, but that's a bit of hassle. The only thing the trainer can do is give you god mode so you can essentially ignore the AI as they shoot at you as you drive along.

I wish there was a way ingame to do AI ignore, or even better, a way to buy either a disguise so the mercs don't recognise you, or some sort of passport/travelling papers that essentially does the same thing. Both could expire after a certain amount of time in game, so it wouldn't be a free pass for the whole time you're playing, you'd need to renew it. Of course, you'd need more diamonds to do that, so either more briefcases, missions, or better yet, go panning for diamonds like the mercs do sometimes. That would be cool. Find a likely spot, get out your pan and start digging. Maybe even find a mine and kill all the mercs there, then dig for diamonds, or steal the ones they found.

ahhhh.... if only......

very interesting thoughts there, D_B... I like that idea with expiring travel documents...  :-X actually something for the FC3 wishlist

Yeah, the passport idea would be great and not too much of an extension from the passports that you pick up during the underground missions anyway.  i.e., do a passport mission for yourself and present your papers at the guard posts - if they find it fishy then a gun battle can ensue.  If they are satisfied, they let you pass.

JRD

... or a moral choice: help refugees and get your malaria pills or keep the passport and suffer from malaria attacks for a while...
But I vote for D_B sitting on the dev's chair at Ubi for FC3  ;D

I'll second... third the nomination - how about it D_B; we'd end up with a dynamite game for sure  :-X

I'd love to send them ideas, along with a billion other people I'm sure.....

LOL I bet! :)

When I read about any game that is a sequel, and someone writes "we did respect many of the wishes of the community..." omg, hard to believe :)

If that is true, then the number one request by consumers must be to patch the thing on day one, because most games are quick to patch.

Art Blade

hahahaha!!! that's proper funny  :-X

You might have to go here now;

Seems they may be closing up.

Thanks for the update, too bad about Radiance, they always put out quality stuff. If in the future, you are in need of trainers or -ahem- no-CD thingys, you can always look on http://www.megagames.com/

Looks like Radiance is dead now, the link doesn't w@&k.

I'll scratch the link if it stays that way for awhile.

Not nice.

A quick search and I found it here also;

I didn't test it though.

What.. is it infected too?
BTW... I broke the link you posted as well... just in case.

hmmm, okay.  I'll test it when I get home where I can scan it properly.

Dweller_Benthos

Doesn't seem to be infected to me, looks like the same thing I grabbed right from the Radiance site. Remember, a trainer by nature modifies the memory used by the game, and some virus scanners take this to be a bad thing.

I've gotten tons of trainers & cd fixes off megagames, never a problem. Of course, YMMV, and anyone on the net should have appropriate protections in place. I would never knowingly post a link to an infected file.

It is also available on http://www.gamecopyworld.com/
