Game play questions

I see a couple of exclamation marks on my map and when I move the cursor into them, they read "Memory start".  Any idea what exactly I'm to do there?  (I must have missed a prompt in the game somehow)

yep, those are the "story" missions, if you've been avoiding them that's why you feel the game isn't progressing.  It'd be like just doing cell tower and buddy missions and no APR/UFLL missions!

Here's a couple more tips -

When a guard is downed you can loot him - stand over the body and hit Circle (PS3).  You'll find they carry only a few florins but often have a throwing knife or two.  Also you have the option of picking up a dead body.  Sometimes I like to toss a rooftop guard over the edge of a building to send a message lol.  Or sometimes into the river to hide my dastardly deed.

You'll also find a thief running around once in a while (different from the thieves you can hire)  He'll try to steal your money bag.  Chasing him his tough.  You can also chase him before he gets to you and steal what he has - either beat him up or kill him - it's up to you.

I've done that with the guards that are hidden from public view, but I once did that in front of a group of townsfolk and they were outraged at my behavior.  ;D

I noticed that the HUD indicated that I could pick up the guard's body, but I pressed and held the circle button (and tried various combinations) but never could pick up the body.

hmm that's strange - I haven't had any problem picking up a body.  The only thing I can think of is you've moved slightly (or the body is sliding on the roof) and you're not positioned to pickup anymore.  Sometimes the ability to pick up on the HUD changes if one of these things happens.

That is strange then - I thought it was because it was a body that I was not supposed to pick up.  Perhaps it was tucked into the corner too far.  I'll try the next time to see if I can get it to w@&k.  At least I now know that I should be able to pick them up - thanks!
