Gun Dealer Mission near TaeMoCo Mines

I wandered over to the Gun Dealer at Mike's to check on the inventory and the dude asks me if I'm interested in  getting rid of some nasty stuff coming in from the Southwest. As this usually gets me a better deal on weaponry I say yes and ask the details.
  He says this convoy is cruising out in the S/west near the TaeCoMo Mines and that I should destroy it to help him out. I get myself off to the Bus Station and grab the bus to the S/e near Weelegol again.  I notice that there is a potential safehouse still unlocked nearby and I hoof it overland to keep the present occupants from hearing me. It's just South of the mines.  I sneak up and get within grenade range and lob a present of sorts to the boys there. It goes "Boom" and two are down.  I McMac'd the third and the place was mine. Time for a short rest.
   Leaving the safehouse I went down into the ravine  there and worked my way up unto an  hillock just within site of the g/post there.  I checked the GPS and saw that the convoy would soon be there.  Duke wants to play so he gets his chance.  The convoy comes through the g/post and for some reason I eyeball and pop the driver of the truck.  Well that stops everybody else. Good.
   I get the head of the driver of the first truck in my sites and squeeze the shot off.  He's dead. I then figure what will happen next and wait for the dummy gunner to jump in the seat just vacated. He does and I do the same..exact same spot.  The second guard vehicle has no where to go so I pop the driver of that vehicle.  This is going well. I look for and spot the smarter gunner coming up the far side to try to flank me.  A few rounds with McMac and there's a moment of silence. I jaunt over to the other side and try throwing a grenade but the range is too great.  Gotta move closer. Oops rounds coming from somwhere.
    Now the guards from the g/post are looking for me so I jump down into the ravine and FLANK them coming up the ramp of what looks like an old dock. I grenade the g/post and gun down the survivors..two I think. Time for the the truck.
   I jaunt back up to the hill on the north side of the road and lob a grenade at the truck.  BOOOM!!! that's much better.  Mission accomplished.
   I search for and find the diamonds in the area and then move off to unlock that safehouse that's almost center of the area. It's done in quick fashion and I stop for some R n R.

Good story Gord, and I like the method of killing the first AT escort on the bridge so that all others are stopped.  Wouldn't it be interesting to do this near a GP and stop the convoy vehicles with a silent weapon, then launch a flare or other device to bring the GP guards down upon the convoy mercs.  What a coup it would be to have some GP mercs complete a convoy mission for you!
