Why is it that the stores are full to the rafters with XBox One while one cannot find the vapor trail of a PS4?

Perhaps the same reason Blu-Ray trumped HD-DVD?  Evidently Sony learned their lesson with Beta video tapes while MS learns nothing at all no matter how many times they fail
