I saw this on E3 last night and I have to admit that though I am fully aware it is being fictionally inserted into American history it still brought tears to my eyes.

Assassin's Creed III Official E3 Cinematic Trailer [North America]

Dispirited and routed having fled the battle field George Washington's forces are served an excellent platter of "Will to Power".  It turns the day from an utter defeat into one more day to fight for freedom.

There was also a release of information about the second game in progress in the AC3 line up which may be only available on the handheld PSVita.  They gave a brief glimpse of the lead character.  A young female assassin in New Orleans late 1700's - early 1800's wearing what looked like pretty standard colonial men's attire but boy she has the moves.  :-X

As much as I love Far Cry 2, I am beginning to become more excited about AC3 than FC3.  At this point I'm unsure exactly which I'll likely favor because I can see elements of both franchises and each has it's strengths when it comes to how I appreciate games.

Great finds, guys - kudos  :-X

As expected after playing AC:R, the graphics are excellent.  :-X

after merging with guards he attacked them. One of them froze on dying and kept standing upright

Other than a glitch I've no explanation for the frozen figure.  :-\\

However I spotted something I found very interesting contained/revealed in that part of the video clip.  When you observe closely in the moment before merging with those guards(?) if you listen there is an eagle cry and then the player stands and waits for the entourage to arrive.  One of them says "Right!" as the player falls in with them.  Then as they get past the sentries that are standing guard at the entrance to that next area the player's group all attack those sentries.

I think that those four guards were under cover agents or sympathizers called by the player as an escort much like Assassins or guilds could be called to assist in previous games.  :-X

We may do well to remember that this game will not be as much about the Brits versus the Revolutionaries as it is going to be about Templar vs Assassin.  So it will be entirely possible that there will be Brits who will make themselves available to the Assassin cause in the Americas even as we have seen in one of the other video clips previously posted when Connor is asked about pitching in towards the war effort by one of Gen. Washington's men, he makes it perfectly clear that his primary concern is with the Templar and that the colonists can fight their own battles.

AC is a very clever, very historically informed series :-X
