the Live topic made me think of all the goodies in the nineties. Here's some:

Nirvana - Come As You Are

Pearl Jam Alive

Alice In Chains - Rooster

A bit different, but same time. I think it might fit in. Had to put it in somewhere :-D

Julie Paradise

A dog hides in the night
Don't know wrong from right
A dog hides from the heat
I need sugar sweet, I need some
But she says I'm going to ruin my mind

Something's gone wrong inside
I'm thinking paradise
All that I want
And a little water
And a little water
Something's going wrong in my mind
Something's going wrong inside
I'm thinking... paradise

Julie your mother cried
Sent home a bullet for the family
That's how your father died
Died a broken and lonely man
Something's going wrong in my mind
Something's going wrong inside
I'm thinking hey...

Hey Lord keep ahold
You don't ever know where to fall
Hey Lord keep ahold
You don't ever know where to fall

A dog hides in the night
Don't know wrong from right
A dog hides in the heat
I need sugar sweet, I need some
But she says I'm gonna ruin my mind
Something's gone wrong inside
I'm thinking... paradise

Julie your mother cried
Sent home a bullet for the family
That's how your father died
Died a broken and lonely man
Something's going wrong in my mind
Something's going wrong inside
I'm thinking... paradise

Tad Seattles most famous butcher (I kid you not)

Jack (Pepsi) :
One night me and my friend
Jack Helton from Nampa, Idaho
Decided we was gonna take his dad's
Brand new 4 x 4 pick up
Out for a ride on Lake Lowell.
We had a belly full of Jack Daniels
And some Pepsi, too,
And we decided
We were going for a ride!

Well we got out on that ice and started
Spinning around doing
360's and 180's all over the ice
Slugging down Jack Daniels
As fast as we could.
That's when I heard the most horrible sound
I ever heard in my life!
And I knew we were
Going through the ice!

Help me Jack Pepsi!

We broke through the ice
Sunk down to the bottom
About 12 feet under.
Water starts rushing in
Through the cracks in the doors
And the windows.
I started freaking out
And Jack says "Hey man,
If you are gonna make it
Through this alive
You are gonna have to settle down
And breathe the air off the roof"
While the water rushes in!

Help me Jack Pepsi!
Help me Jack Pepsi!

Jack Pepsi - Tad

My Sisters Machine, the guitarist was Alice in Chains first guitarist before jerry Cantrell.

Alice in Chains Sea of Sorrow from Facelift, I tried to find the video with Jimi Hendrix's grave, but to no avail, (makes the song more poignant)

I like Screaming Trees and Jack Pepsi :-X ^-^

Facelift is a great album too. I don't know that video.
The rest of the songs is new to me too, damn Fiach, you know A LOT of music :o :-X

I forgot one, although not entirely grunge I guess:

Wow, a lot of the tracks below are like little flash-backs to 20 years ago (or there abouts!)
As quickly as I discovered bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains back then they were soon replaced by the might of bands such as Slayer and Ministry. Occasionally I will stick on some Pearl Jam or Soundgarden as they both have a few timeless classics  :-()

@Binnatics - nice one for putting the Ministry version of Lay Lady Lay up, one of the best covers I have ever heard :-X
Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raido, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo, Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eithwaz, Perth, Algiz, Sowilo, Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Othila.

Binnatics

Agreed on the timeless tracks. :-X

I have been searching quite while for the best track of Ministry to post for the topic. I wanted to catch the feeling I remember from a live concert somewhere mid nineties. I thought thisone got the closest, although Filth Pig was close too. But that track was too heavy and I missed some of the touchy sound they express in Lay Lady Lay.  :)

RedRaven

Not an easy band to pick from, and that's not counting all the side-project bands they did (RevCo. Lard).
The albums "Filth Pig" and "Dark side of the Spoon" both stand out from the earlier and later ones.
Aside from their version of Lay Lady Lay, The Fall is an awesome track, great cascading piano.

The Fall

(errrm - its not showing the vid in the post, will figure it out and correct it)

Red, if you link Youtube videos all you have to do is paste the address, like this:

http:// www. youtube. com/watch?v=gJsKsPihciU&feature=youtu. be

(Nb. I added some spaces to make sure the line would display)

The site handles the rest. So no need to make a link with {url=etc.

I love this track, The Fall. Took a while before I recognized it ;)

Edit:
When this track stops, the silence hurts ^-^

YouTube has changed the way they do things so here is Red's video in code form.

This is the embed code in the "Share" link in YouTube:

http://youtu.be/gJsKsPihciU

... which gives you this:
http://youtu.be/gJsKsPihciU

This is the URL you see in the URL bar of your browser when you are watching your video on YouTube - paste it into your post
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJsKsPihciU&feature=youtu.be

Then delete everything past (and including) the "&" and add "#ws" so that it looks like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJsKsPihciU#ws

...and this is what you get in the final post:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJsKsPihciU#ws

Binnatics

Now I understand how to make a video widescreen ^-^ :-X

"Responsibility is not a matter of giving or taking, responsibility is something you share" -Binnatics

PZ

Wow, I should have known that not everyone knows how to automatically display widescreen.  I added the method to a Knowledge Base article for quick reference should anyone forget (I know this post will become lost)  :-()

RedRaven

Cheers guys, amazing how many little things change in only a few months
Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raido, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo, Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eithwaz, Perth, Algiz, Sowilo, Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Othila.
