I'm kind of stuck actually.  I have about 4 Borgia towers left to take over but they are behind the veil of white memories - I can't get there.  The next story icon "!" is in there too.  All I've been doing is trying to catch up to Leonardo (got 2 of his weapons so far), doing Copernicus' missions, sending my recruits out on missions, a couple of Romulus' lairs, Christina missions, renovating Rome, etc.  I can't figure out what I need to do to gain access to the section of Rome.  Any ideas?

btw, have you done the Christina missions?  I've done two and the 2nd one was quite sobering if you've played ACII.

That's strange - I recall having to do exclamation mark missions (I don't recall how many, but quite a few) until that area opened up, but I don't recall one of them being in the "off-limits" area.  Although parts of the map are off-limits, I recall that there was a way around in some areas.  Hope you get it sorted.

perhaps there is an avenue to get through.  I'll just have to cruise around the border and see if I can get into the shady area somehow.  Unless it has something to do with Leo - I've gotten his 3 weapons and then he told he had nothing else to give me.  But as I signed off I saw his L icon pop up again so I'll pay him a visit before my border trip.

I've also completed Copernius' missions.  I liked those alot.

I'll keep you posted!

I've cleared the fog off all of the map and did not do any of the Leonardo missions, nor the Copernicus ones - I hope you don't have some kind of glitch.

hmmm,  well I was doubting that the Leonardo or Copernicus missions would really unlock the south, but I was hoping something would trigger.  Mind you, I haven't taken my border trip so it may be I've just never approached that area at the right point, but it is strange because the most direct routes to either the !mission icon or the remaining towers have been blocked.

Unfortunately this mission will be taking another day to test as my PS3 has been commandeered this evening by my son and nephew.  :(   Darn this winter break - if it was a school night I'd be in Rome right now!!!  lol
