Do guns kill their owners?

I was driving around Weelgol village and decided to say hi to it's residents. Turned out they weren't friendly at all. So, had to infiltrate their village to teach them a lesson. In the firefight that followed, I eliminated them all and was happy that all my bullets found it's mark. Just as I was about to leave their village and move on, I was surprised to see this guy...dead with his gun shoved inside his chest! I guess I was wrong that I thought that it were my bullets that had killed everyone. Poor fella,....looks like his own gun turned rogue against him.  :P
