Gang hideouts

Anyone know how many gang hideouts are available?  I've managed to do 8 so far.

I believe there's 8 on the PS3 and 7 on the 360. For some reason Rockstar gave PS3 users one more (probably to make up for not releasing GTAIV's dlc till about 6 months after 360 users got it).

Thanks for the info - I'm trying to do all of the gang hideouts in a 24-hour period in order to get the US Marshall outfit.

There is so much that appeals to western aficionados - from the action that you can generate sandbox-style to the movie-like soundtracks.  I was doing Pike's Basin gang hideout and was standing on the rim of a canyon while the gang was shooting at me from below.  Just like in the Clint Eastwood movie, High Plains Drifter, I threw dynamite sticks down on them, then picked off the rest with a Henry repeater.
