Wonder how others are faring?

After 120 hours of gameplay:

$4.2 mil in cash ( I'm a thrifty operative apparently)
$1.5 mil in chaos
64% completion
37 faction missions
2 agency missions completed.
11 challenges completed
332 settlements discovered.
230 completed.
195 faction items recovered
1614 resource items recovered
5088 kills
41 Colonels assassinated

This game is truly immense.

After 40 hours of gameplay:

$2.5 mil in cash
610k in chaos
36% completion
44 faction missions
5 agency missions completed.
21 challenges completed
181 settlements discovered.
22 completed.
59 faction items recovered
534 resource items recovered
2003 kills
10 Colonels assassinated

also:
86 unique vehicles driven
132 melee kills (why waste ammo if I don't have to)
139 highest stunt driver points
47 hijackings

This game is truly immense.  so true, so true!

I was doing OK until this morning. Close to 40% complete with all the main agency missions finished - so I've since been working through it on mercenary mode. However, I then let my four year old mess around with the game in one of the helicopters. Somehow, whilst I was out of the room, he managed to load my only save game which was before the start of the penultimate agency mission. He must have then done something to create an autosave at the same point. So I'm now back to 30% complete with two agency missions to run again and numerous faction missions, races and settlements to redo.  :'( :'( :'(

PZ

That's awful, batdog!  I'll check my stats this evening, but I'm nowhere near completed percentage-wise.  I recall having about $2.3 million in the bank, but I don't recall much else off the top of my head.

spaceboy

sorry to hear about that batdog.

As for me I accidentally completed the last two agency missions (they string 6 and 7 together which I wasn't expecting).  I've got 2 faction missions left and of course tons of settlements, items, colonels, and general chaos to cause and complete.

batdog, I am at 0.00% of everything. I only just bought the game (after having waited until now for an imported UK version to arrive, which was supposed to happen at the time it was originally released) and I still need to set up a dual-boot system with w7 yet to install, and all that. All the time all I could do was read what you guys did and watch other people play it on youtube. I don't even have got the time right now (real life keeps me busy). So don't worry there... you've got some experience by now and it will be sweet as a nut when you do it again :)

Well, I just checked my progress on the PS3 and I'm at 42% with 80-90 hours or so into the game.  I'm currently in mercenary mode, but have left that to go into a new game.  I have problems completing a game  ;D

150 hours of gameplay
85% complete
$6 mil in cash
2 agency missions completed
49 faction missions completed
49 Colonels assassinated
Very few faction items remaining
27 challenges completed
342 settlements completed
All vehicles fully upgraded
All but two weapons fully upgraded

After 170 hours, I completed the last of the locations for a grand total of 368 / 369. It looks like the Panau Falls Casino Glith is going to be the asterisk on my achievement.

Currently at 88% of total completion of the game and am starting the Agency missions.

$ 6.7 million in cash
All faction missions completed
All faction items recovered
All Colonels assassinated
All avaialble weapons and vehicles fully upgraded.
30 challenges completed

The last 10-15 locations were quite a grind, actually. I finished up on the island in the Southeast where I assume the game's "grand finale" takes place. There was one area oddly absent of govmen and it was "easy pickin's" as they say. There were several boxes of shotguns around, providing a hint at what is going to happen at the end.

The island has only military bases with a large number of govmen at each. And they are all hard to get to unless you have a helo.  It was pretty tiring. I tried to complete the entire island without getting resupplied but just couldn't do it -- ran out of grenades, C-4, and got dangerously short on SMG ammo before the last naval base. Ironically, it was surprisingly easy.

I just happened to be in the right place and saw about 10 govmen spawn as a group at one location. I wish I had a rocket launcher at that point.  ;D

I made note elsewhere but there are actually:

101 Drug Drops
100 Skulls
99 Black boxes

I hate to admit I just learned that you can customize what is displayed on the map. It helped in locating the last 2-3 items. Doh.

As fate would have it, the next to last item was off an small island at the opposite end of the map from where I completed the last location...over 20 kms away. It was a long flight by helo. Yes...I'm too cheap to pay for an extraction or to buy a jet.

you crack me up eor - weren't you early on getting so frustrated you almost threw in the towel?  Now look - you've conquered Panau!

And although I too am relatively cheap with the BM and limit use of extraction or purchasing vehicles - YOU HAVE $6.7M IN CASH! - Drop the $5k for an extraction or $30k for a sweet jet to fly in!  You deserve it! Splurge! lol

I'm just joking on you mate, Congrats on getting all that accomplished.  I'm at about 41% now with MANY MANY things to complete yet.  I'm sitting at about $1M in cash which has been my lower limit of availability I wish to keep so I only buy things from the BM if I don't go under that amount...

I can't help it I suppose.

I'm of Scottish descent. Rico would probably be surprised to learn that.  ;D

Actually I was saving my money for hookers and blow at the Mile High Club after I complete the game.

Rico looks Scottish, kind of, ok, yeah no.  ;)

I completed the agency missions and they were somewhat anti-climatic after completing all the locations.  In fact, some were outright silly. I had to keep reminding myself to "embrace the absurdity" as there is an overdose of it in the last mission.

In the hope that going into mercenary mode might somehow make the missing items at Panau Falls Casino reappear, I tried one last time. I even shot the windows out and grappled into the covered walkway between the two towers. Nothing inside and blocked doors at either end.

That's all I can do there.

Even with all I've done, I'm only at 94.03% complete. Don't see the point in going any further since I'll never be able to achieve 100%, even if I managed to complete all the challenges (which is unlikely).

I think you're correct in that you will have some objects available only during the mission that takes you there.  For instance, at the huge satellite dish - before I started the mission that was to take me there, I tried to collect all of the upgrade parts.  Although I had the signal that there was a nearby part, I could never get to it, and it turns out that the mission opened a door into an inner space where the part was located.

eor123

I just played through the first agency mission at the casino on two different difficulty levels...and of course I was able to 100% complete the casino area.
:D >:( :D

I'm so nuts, I started over on "Experienced."

Will be playing at a much slower pace this time...and may not finish with "Red Dead Redemption" coming out soon.
;D

I mention something similar in the other thread.  Although I'm not starting a new game, my merc mode may have to wait a bit while I saddle up in RDR!

Good luck on Experienced mate!

oh and by the way eor - are you getting RDR on PS3 or X360?  if you go PS3 you gotta be up for some co-op right???!!

This from the guy that almost left the game!  ;D

I'm glad that you decided to "embrace absurdity" and get enjoyment out of JC2  ;)

I'm also looking sooooo forward to RDR  :-X

...Drop the $5k for an extraction or $30k for a sweet jet to fly in!

There must be a difference in the casual mode that I'm playing and the level you're at space; the extractions don't cost me anything.

eor123

I put the "Experienced" adventure on hold.

I can do it, but it's just not fun. Seems like I spend all of my time frantically avoiding  helicopters and aggressive ground fire. I think I hijacked four helos in quick succession and had each one blown out from under me before I could even get control and do anything.

I wholeheartedly agree with that - it's no fun when all you can do is try to avoid being killed  ;D

It doesn't give you any chance to enjoy the scenery, or experience the Panuan night life  ;)

I can practically taste it... still downloading that bloody update at mind-melting speed (even a snail moves like a whiplash in comparison) but ONCE it's done... I'm coooooming  ;D
