Title: Finance & Felony spending spree
Post by: Binnatics on June 06, 2016, 02:08:17 PM
So; a few hours left for the next FREE update; Further Adventures In Finance & Felony

To be precise; one good night sleeping, and a suspected-to-be-horrible day at the office, then a little trip to my local car dealer to buy my new Fiat Punto, and then after diner the fun begins >:D

I decided to do a proper spending spree since I want to have all, enjoy it to the max and have the money to afford it:

Oh yes, the upper-right corner is indicating I currently have 55 million on my Maze Bank account.
I bet it will be enough. Will keep you guys posted about my expenses, my purchases and what more there is to keep you posted about ;)

Becoming a CEO requires an office. The most prestigious amongst the 4 available offices is the Maze Bank Office. Also the most expensive:

[smg id=8828 type=preview align=center caption="Maze Bank Office 1"]

[smg id=8829 type=preview align=center caption="Maze Bank Office 2"]

[smg id=8830 type=preview align=center caption="Maze Bank Office 3"]

If you want to start making money on buying and sellig illegal goods, you need a warehouse. Or 2... or 3....

[smg id=8831 type=preview align=center caption="Warehouse 1"]

[smg id=8832 type=preview align=center caption="Warehouse 2"]

[smg id=8833 type=preview align=center caption="Warehouse 3"]

Pegasus allows you to buy the new 'delivery vehicles' for when you have to sell your stock to the highest bidder;

[smg id=8834 type=preview align=center caption="Tug Boat"]

[smg id=8835 type=preview align=center caption="Brickade"]

Plus some more richman's toys:

[smg id=8836 type=preview align=center caption="The Nimbus"]

[smg id=8837 type=preview align=center caption="Volatus"]

[smg id=8838 type=preview align=center caption="Cargobob"]

And of course there is a range of new vehicles available to purchase that you can keep in your owned garagesm such as the Windsor Drop; a Cabro version of the earlier released Windsor with special liveries:

[smg id=8839 type=preview align=center caption="Windsor Drop"]

I also bought the new Benefactor armored car, a good buy. Very fast and nice looking. Will post a screeny soon, haven't made one yet. I aslo bought the Vapid LMJ and the Pegassi Reaper.  I am still looking for which car to sell because I also want to buy the new grotti sportscar, but haven't yet decided which to sell :-D

All together I spent over 30 million on this new stuff. The warehouses are 3 million each, the office was 6.5 million. The extra upgrades to the delivery vehicles (special armor, bulletproof tires, speed upgrades etc) cost me another 1 or 2 million. The pegasus vehicles (brickade and Tug boat) are a bit disappointing because they come without the extra armor and upgrades. These upgrades only apply to your CEO-related vehicles and not the pegasus ones.
The new super cars, over 2 million each and the windsor over 1 million. The benefactor, man I don't remember the price. The plane, heli and cargobob must've been another 6 million roughly.

Finally a good destiny for these millions I kept in my safe ;)

hey, you've got more than one million, you can definitely afford to spend some 25 thousand on a nice mag or two :)

I got this one today and one more, so four of those.

I bought the mag for my Assault Rifle, Special Carbine, Machine Pistol, Heavy Shotgun and Compact Rifle. Wish the AP pistol could have one  >:D

For some odd reason, the Heavy Shotgun's dropped mag is depicted with bullets rather than 12G shotgun slugs. :D

Oh, here's my new gold car  :-D

I also bought some of those drum mags. But I don't like the looks of them a lot. I found it kind of fitting though with the compact rifle and I also like the one for the heavy shotgun a lot; looked great. Now with 30 shot per mag this shotgun might be my first choice over the combat shotgun.

Here's some pics on my new super cars;

[smg id=8845 type=preview align=center caption="Vapid FMJ 1"]

[smg id=8846 type=preview align=center caption="Vapid FMJ 2"]

[smg id=8847 type=preview align=center caption="Pegassi Reaper"]

I found it very hard to find the right paint for the reaper. I changed it 4 times now, ended up with ultra blue. That looks kind of cool. But who knows another paintjob is required.

~ I wanted to upload 2 more pics of my armored Benefactor XLS but unfortunately the site seems offline according Cloudflare... will post later then... If at all I can post this ^-^

My new HQ (Maze Bank West)

Also bought a weapon locker, so I could only buy a small storage in La Mesa for 250 000$. Binn's tip to make lot's of money: Never buy stuff in bundles (2 or 3 crates) as you may not make that much profit in total (players can actually destroy your vehicles carrying the goods). Buy them one by one (takes time, but this is the most profitable solution).

[smg id=8849 type=preview align=center caption="Crew rank 500"]

Here I just reached crew rank 500. I found out that CEO w@&k can give a good amount of RP. I usually rank up twice playing a couple of hours, while with any other activity it will likely not even be once.
I think that is because of the buying missions. You will always get 2000RP at least, but normally somewhere between 2300 and 2600RP. You can do the buying missions quick if you get a little experienced and if you use the buzzard. The fact that you get a fixed amount of RP for these missions is special; in most other jobs you do the RP is based on the time you spend on the job but this apparently is an exception. Being quick thus pays off, in RP that is 8)

How long is the cooldown period to be exact? I only have one warehouse... If it just for some couple of minutes, I can simply do some VIP jobs in the mean time  :)

I found a youtube 'article' today giving some more tips about how to find a public session that is empty. Mrbossftw, a famous GTA V youtuber, made a video telling about some common ways to try to manipulate the way the game sets up or puts you in to public sessions.

! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGm65SWHTUE#)

What I found useful is the following; there's not many players using free aim sessions, so put your preference to free aim and you get the less crowded sessions. Another possibly useful tip is to go into windowed mode when loading into the session. Then, at a certain point go back to full screen and the game will load a new session just for you.

Somehow, as I stated before, for me it works fine when starting a free aim session out of a single playe situation, probably because there's not many players in my region playing free aim. Or something. Who knows. Anyway, this is additional info that might be working for whoever wants to not be bothered by warmongers and cheaters ;) :-X
Title: Re: Finance & Felony spending spree
Post by: Art Blade on June 14, 2016, 10:57:43 AM
As an additional bonus, only free aim sessions grant you maximum RP. You can ONLY change the free aim or partial aim or stuff like that in the controller menu while in a single player setup.
Title: Re: Finance & Felony spending spree
Post by: OWGKID on June 14, 2016, 01:47:26 PM
The majority of PC users probably have aim assist enabled by default in the options.
Title: Re: Finance & Felony spending spree
Post by: Art Blade on June 14, 2016, 02:19:45 PM
If you ask Binnatics about me and free aim, he'll be able to confirm that I generally refuse to join a session if it isn't set to free aim.

Title: Re: Finance & Felony spending spree

 :)

I have to add that there is one more and tedious way of changing your aim settings other than going back to single player. It changes if you confirm that you really want to join a session with a different setting. Unfortunately, as you observed, most sessions are not set to free aim. Which means, you only have the equally tedious option to go back to single player and manually change it back to free aim. Silly, really. I much rather STAY on free aim and refuse to join any session that has got a different setup. :)

Keep it going GKID! I find the CEO finance stuff a very relaxing way of making money. Although it is repetitive it is also easy going and gives me the oportunity to free my mind and think things over ;)
Just a bit of flying round in the Buzzard, shooting some badguys, searching stuff, a little driving etc. Nice! 8)

I should probably disable the statistics overlay before taking a picture  8-X  ;) I never seem to end up in a empty public lobby :( At least most people are kind an leave you alone  ^-^ Warehouse is almost full again for a second sale  :-() Also did a Special delivery mission, that had a golden Minigun in the crate  :-D

My next step is to buy a medium warehouse located very close to the HQ (price is 902 000 $) and get a large one located in Vinewood Hills for 2.3 million $. In the future, I may buy the expensive HQ  :)

Here's another tip from a veteran:

Being a CEO can be hard. Hiring associates can be difficult, since most of them are just a bunch of morons. Those who aren't, are probably cleaver enough to realise it doesn't pay to be associate; they become CEO themselves.  :-\\

So what to do if you have a warehouse full of stash? And Rockstar tells you to have at least 2 associates because there's 3 vehicles to deliver the goods with? :(

I will tell you what to do. f@#k the rules, play by your own. Deliver the whole shipment by yourself. I tested it thoroughly and I know now; what can be done by 4 players can also be done by a single wiseguy 8)

You can start the delivery anyway, no matter how many associates you have hired, or not. I tested it doing a delivery of 40 crates; 3 Brickades were required. I drove the first, then used my buzzard to get beack to the warehouse, drove the second, called my buzzard again and did the last delivery all within the 30 minutes R* gies you to complete the deliveries. Piece, Of, Cake! ;)

I did that again with another 39 crates, and now the game made me do drop offs with the Titan. 6 dropoffs in total and I could do all at once using that Titan just alone. After this second test I wanted to do the ultimate stresstest and deliver 111 crates (a full large warehouse). I figured it would be difficult if I had to do the deliveries with Cubans (smaller planes, such as Trevor uses in his smuggling missions) and thus had to drop seperate packages across the map with 3 Cubans 3 times in a row (the total amount of dropoffs can be 10 per plane) so to prevent that from happening I filled my other two empty warehouses with just a couple of crates and deliverd these alone as well (6 crates per warehouse).
I got another Brickade mission where I had to devide the content over several dropoffs as well and then the mission with the Cubans. The next would be a full large warehouse. I started it, with full armor and health, helicopter at close range and a perfect weapons loadout, and started the next delivery.
I was sent to a Tug Boat, just a single Tug Boat!!! I went there, had to kill a bunch of bad guys (NPC's) and climbed aboard. Then I just navigated my 111 crates towards victory. No other issues, just the drive. 2.22 million earned. All by myself ^-^ ^-^ 8)

I think it can become problematic if you have to deliver the packages at different spots around the map with 3 cubans, because it will prably be a real challenge to do that in under 30 minutes, but that is literally the only problem I see so far. As long as you are alone in a public session that is... ;)

Being alone in a public session doesn't seem to be so hard atm. Half to times I join Online from SP I end up being alone. If not I frewuently loose connection to the session I joined. And if you're alone, you hardly ever see ppl join. Mostly only friends, which shouldn't be a problem ;)

Another thing I found out, you don't have to check every vehicle. Sometimes when you're going to obtain the ordering stuff, you may get notified that there are two vehicles. Rather than checking out all of them, simply use the Interaction menu and set waypoint to Special Cargo. The target vehicle will then be displayed on your map  :-D

If you only have one warehouse, you may want to do a VIP job during the cooldown period so you can make some quick cash.
Title: Re: Finance & Felony spending spree
Post by: Binnatics on June 18, 2016, 12:56:27 PM
What GKID is referring to; sometimes when you approach your special cargo, it turns out you are fooled; suddenly there are 2 or 3 possible vans available on your minimap. You'll have to check them out from up close to check if they are carrying our goods. He found out that the quick GPS in the interaction menu will direct you to the correct one from the start! Good find GKID! ;) :-X

Another nice strategy is to have your associates do the jobs. After you launch a mission, you can stay back in the office and let your associates finish the mission. After they have finished, simply launch the new one. Makes it much more efficient to collect crates.

This requires a friend you can play with and at least two warehouses.
