Top picture: FO:NV first town you get to (forgot the name :-[)
Second pic: FO3 Megaton
The first image is Goodsprings(NV) and the 2nd is Megaton(FO3) but the lay of the terrain around it doesnt look right. But perhaps my modded Megaton mod from FO3 makes it look quite in a different setting.
Can i assume that these are images from that wip mod that apparently combines NV with FO3?

You're both correct - the first from FVN and the second from FO3. Furthermore, Ricamundo is correct in his assumption that they are both taken from within FNV. Yesterday I added the beta of the mod that combines the maps of FNV and FO3. Interestingly, my companions from FNV traveled to the DC wasteland with me, as did my Advanced recon armor and weapons! Even the quests appear to operate properly - the Sheriff in Megaton came running up to me and we began our conversation.
