Cool - kind of reminds me of Fallout 3 and Just Cause 2 (the juggle kill part).  Should be interesting to see how this one develops.

Interesting, looks like it has potential.  I hope they don't rely too heavily on their "juggling" gimmick and neglect to develop a good game underneath.  I'm wary when I see things like this cause I've played a lot of games that tried to live (and ultimately died) on the back of some cool gameplay hook that in the end wasn't strong enough to single-handedly carry the title (Wanted: Weapons of Fate is the most recent example I can think of).  Hopefully they can avoid that fate, the giant lizard thing looks like it's a good start  :-X

I just read a 4 page preview of this game.

The bad news .... its a 360 Exclusive, made by Epic (Gears of War) and People can Fly.

The good news, it looks awesome, its not just a shooter, you can FPS through a level, but the big rewards are for stylish carnage, using environmental hazards to rain death and destruction on your enemies.

It has many different modes, You can do the levels in bite sized chunks for speed runs and leader boards, with no storyline or cutscenes, or you can have the levels with the Storyline as normal.

There is only Co-Op play as multiplayer, no Vs. Multuplayer, the skills and weapons etc are so powerful, MP was too frustrating, because of people messing around. The Co-Op play is pretty cool, with team w@&k providing the more inspiring takedowns, different enemies with have logos beside their HP suggesting the best Co-Op takedown, with will need a combination of skills by each player to kill the opponent with devestating coolness :), For example, Partner shoots enemy in the crotch and you kick it in the head as it bends over, another is the leash (see the video), both players attach the leash on the enemy and rip it apart, or how about ...... well you get my drift :)

All the weapons have alternate fire modes that seem pretty cool, like a bouncing football bomb you kick at opponents or the boneduster that melts the flesh of your enemies and disolves them as they rush towards you, or a shot gun that fires air .... huh? .... yeah, if you fire from a distance it pushes your opponent away (eg. off a cliff) at close range it will blow them in half.

It also has the Borderlands Second Wind feature, which is pretty cool imo.

Edited for added carnage :)

Yes, I meant to say PC and PS3 as well, my bad :)

I was just thinking last night, People can fly made Painkiller, it was an awesome PC FPS, it didnt get great reviews ..... because of the story ....wth?  :D

Anyway, it was a great shooter, about a guy battling hells minions with awesome weapons.

Two off the top of my head, one was a kind of tripwire you shot out of a gun, it formed a razor wire between you and where it anchored and you could move around while it was anchored and as it swept through enemies it kind of scythed them down like corn.

Another one fired humungous stakes that impaled your enemies onto what ever surface was behind them.

It was a really great game, I still remember the sound of the machine gun, it was like a jackhammer at 3am in the morning!

You can d/l it here inc its expansion for $4.99,   :

Actually GoG has some awesome games in their catalogue that are well worth checking out (http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue) (link)

Title: Re: Bulletstorm

Thanks Deadman :)

Just read another article in 360 magazine, it was very interesting the way they see the game as the spiritual sucessor of the likes of Doom and on a totally divergent path from the likes of CoD etc.

They were very impressed with the permutaions of combat skills, like using a few different skills to take out enemies, there is even a bolas grenade, that wraps itself around the enemies and explodes.

But basically it boils down to ... the more skill you have/use, the greater your reward XP will be for each kill, getting you better equipment, basically if you play it like a standardd FPS, you will have crap gear, you need to treat it as Bulletstorm, use the skills for the kills to gedt more XP.

I really like the addition to single player its called Echoes, you play a level in the story line, you can replay it without the cutscenes/dialogue etc, just go in and kick a$$ and mess around.

I really hope the SP will have a good story, I know it seems superfluous for a FPS, but from what I'm reading this game could be a one-stop-shop and have everything, SP/MP/Co-Op and just balls to the wall arenas .... very much like Borderlands, the story isnt great but the characters (classes) are awesome, it has great SP/MP/Co-Op and Arena (Moxxie which i must get this week if I get the time  :'())

Thanks again :)

It appears that the production in development at People Can Fly and published by Epic Games will be playable in demo starting next January 25th on Xbox Live and PlayStation 3. This file should allow access to the mode called "Echo", one of three planned by the developers.

Just a FYI, Echo is the single player campaign mode with the story line removed

By the way, before starting a new topic in either child board of Other Games, please check the index (http://openworldgames.org/owg/forums/index.php?topic=1695.0) (the treasure chest on the front page game logo selection leads there) and use CTRL+F ("find") to check if the topic already exists. Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Art Blade on January 14, 2011, 04:37:15 PM
it's a subdivision of a board, in this case we have Other Games (basically an empty shell) and three child boards "beneath" Other Games. It's like a tree structure:

- Other Games
-- Fantasy and Sci-Fi
-- Race and Flight
-- War and Combat

:)

Ah, colness , thanks :)
Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Art Blade on January 14, 2011, 08:09:10 PM
welcome :)

The reason behind it is to sort "other games" a little, a rough structure to keep things simple. Right now we have 101 games in those boards, and that means 101 topics plus a few that are somehow related to other games but don't deal with a particular game, which means a lot of pages with a lot of topics.. not really suitable if you want to check out a specific game. Also, there are a few games that still don't fit in the rough structure, those can still be found in "other games" rather than in those child boards. So we have the index to find and jump to any game we have discussed :)

Wow, 101 games!  I knew we had quite a few, but it is easy to forget exactly how many we have - it is quite an Art to keep it all sorted - thanks, and definitely deserves a "thumbs-up"  ;)

I've been watching these videos, and honestly, the game reminds me of Borderlands a little bit.  I think it's the bandit-like look of some of the enemies, their armor and gear looks like it was cobbled together from stuff they scavenged.  Obviously a dark sense of humor too  :-X

I saw many people playing the game, and every single person had a different playthrough time. I know that some people may consider "it depends on the person" as a way to avoid the answer, but what can I do when it's really true?..

However, what I can tell you is this:

1. The game is of a very decent length. I have never met a person/tester who said it's too short (apart from people wanting more just because they loved the game and wanted it to never stop).

2. I believe that the game has extreme replayability. I know many people never finish games, even those they love, let alone play it again. But if you like Bulletstorm, I guarantee you that you're going to like playing it the second time. If I can recommend something, it would be: finish the Single Player, play a lot of ECHOES or ANARCHY, replay the Single Player. You will see how different your experience will be - and both times you'll have a lot of fun.

3. Playing on a harder difficulty level changes the way you play the game. It's not "I have less health, so I have to stay in cover longer" kind of deal. It's "I need to be better at this s***, I need to maximize my Skillshots, I need to play wiser" kind of deal. Just last month I have finished the game on the hardest difficulty mode for the very first time, and I was blown away by the experience.

However, DO NOT start with the highest difficulty on your first playthrough. I don't doubt your skills, I'm sure you can play Contra with TV turned off - BUT Bulletstorm really is different to other shooters, and you should use the first playthrough to understand why, and only then attempt the impossible

If you are interested and can avail of it, Bulletstorm is available as a demo on XBOX LIVE, it possibly is also available on PSN, I havent checked that.

On XBL it is ONLY available for GOLD Members, to me this is utter BS and because of this I wont be buying Bulletstorm on release, I'll but it a few weeks later when its reduced.

It galls me that they try to suck people into paying for XBL, by making demos like this only available to GOLD members, when PC demos and PS3 demos (afaik) are totally free of charge.

Well apparently the demo is only about 10 minutes long, so I'll not lose alot of sleep over it.

Its getting mixed reactions, dumb fun, with an emphasis on dumb.

On saying that, its being played out of context ((in echo mode), so its not a true reflection of the main game, so I'm not missing anything. Its supposed to be pretty sweet looking though, which is nice :)
Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Fiach on January 26, 2011, 03:03:37 AM
OK I played the demo, btw, you will need a US account for the PSN demo, I used my home address plus LA and added 90120 as the zip code if that helps anyone.

OK, where to start.

It's a corridor shooter, but the corridors are cool, post apocalyptic designs, the enemies are mutant types, with different appearences, brutish men with weapons, green lizard men that spit poison gas (I think it was) at you etc.

GFX it reminds me a little of Enslaved with its colour palette and architecture, its like a cross between Borderlands and std FPS like CoD, like a mix between cel shading and realistic, Very pleasent to look at.

Combat, ok you all know about the environment kills etc. Well number one they are very easy to accomplish, you kick any enemy he will hit something that will damage him, you can also be creative and kick him a few times to get him in line with your chose hazard (spike/electricity/hole ...etc.). There was also a pretty cool part with a "I wonder what this button does", which sends a train along a track annihilating all the enemies that were attacking you.

The bolas grenades, this is like a chain with a couple of grenades attached, you fire it at an enemy and it wraps itself around him and then detonates after a few seconds, this was a very interesting weapon. Shoot it at the neck and it chokes him and explodes, shoot it at his chest and it wraps around his arms too and stops him shooting, at his legs it trips him up.

The leash is pretty cool, when you pull people they move in slo-mo, so you dont have to worry about accuracy when shooting them in the face.

There was a pistol.... buggered if I know why, a pistol kinda goes against the ethos of a game like this, maybe it had a secondary fire I didnt notice.

The demo is like a "challenge" map, its a level stripped of story, these maps are called "echos" so you can replay a level and just goof around or try for high points scores, but time kept adding on, so I'm guessing that as you kill stuff, you get more play time added on.

Anyway, it was a bit of a hoot for 10 minutes, looked good played good and was a nice taste of whats to come.

LOL @ grubby mitts and ZIP code, mate!  ^+-+

Since it`s a corridor-ish game, you think it has reasonable replay value or is it more like enemies will be at the very same spot all the time?
Title: Re: Bulletstorm

Well in the demo it was always the same mobs in the same spot, so I imagine that holds true for the main game.

It sounds to me like the replay value lies in the "finding new ways of killing monsters" category, kind of what we´re all doing in FC2. But corridor or not, this one´s on my "to play" list  >:D

Glad you can get your hands on a "proper" copy Art :)

Its unusual that the game arrives next week, (especially such a high profile game, with Gears of War beta access included), and there are no reviews.

Its what we call a deafening silence. :)

I'm kinda worried the game wont stack up, I know one reviewer, that, although they havent published their review yet, they will be giving it a 6/10.

Their comments ran along these lines.

Cacti and Exploding barrels .... get used to them as you will be sick of them by the time the game ends.

About halfway through, you have seen all there is to see and it goes downhill from there.

The story and acting is really amateurish, the humour is childish and low brow.

Killzone 3 is a much better game (he had review copies of both).

I'll personally wait and see for a couple of reasons:

Rift, I'm still beta testing it and it will be released early for some of us to get a headstart, so this will commence on the 24th, the game will go live on March 1st, so there will be a time issue for me.

Then you have Dragon Age 2 arriving March 11th, which is a must have game for me.

I hope the game to be a "quick diversion" like fire it up and shoot 'em up, then do something else. A game for "in-betweens"  :)

The only thing that worries me is that fricking games for windows live nuisance and probably having to stay online (once more)  >:((

That grenade launcher thing in the last video (shot little round grenades) looks exactly like the launcher weapon class that was cut from Borderlands before its release - the parts were still buried in the game code though so early modders found them and started building them before the first software patch.  They were totally devastating - looks like they found their way into a different game.

Just a few random thoughts on Bulletstorm.

I bought this because Rift is a but oversubscribed due to its popularity, that even its freebie headstart has queues of a couple of hours, so Bulletstorm has handy bitesized chunks, to help pass the time. :)

OK, well I have only played 3 chapters, I dont knolw how many total (7?), anyway, here goes.

The game doesnt take itself seriously, thats for sure, its pretty much dumb fun all the way, on saying that, its more Serious Sam, than than Painkiller, that can be taken both ways, but I would be more of a Painkiller fan, lets leave it at that :)

So far each chapter seems to have a different theme, they are all pretty much fun, but kinda haphazard all the same. For a FPS, unusually,  the story does keep you going, if you check your brain at the entrance, its pretty good, the dialogue is kinda witty in a frat party kind of way, unfortunately the most witty guy (so far) dies at the start >.<

The game always tries to keep a variety of pacing going on, theres the obligatory corritor section, then the on rails section, then another corridor, on saying that, they are always interesting riffs on the same theme, to elaboratem would spoil some interesting scenarios, but in fairness the game does have some really refreshing aspects.

I was disappointed with the weapons loadout (not the weapons themselves), it would appear you can only carry three (dunno if this is that case, but I cba to read a manual and in game it doesnt say any different, which is annoying, so far I have settled my loadout on Assualt rifle, Flail and Sniper Rifle.

Fiach: playing games so we don't have to

Good mini-review, Fiach  :-X
Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Fiach on February 26, 2011, 06:49:29 PM
Sorry for two posts, but after I type for awhie, the type box goes crazy and starts jumping back, so I cant easily check what i type.

The weapons are good, Flail chucks a string of grenades, machine gun does what its supposed to do, Sniper shoots  guide-able bullets (like Clive Barkers Jericho), but you can only carry three it seems.

The machine gun is only useful if you want to stitch an enemy after you kick them, its useless as a standard FPS assualt rifle, enemies are bullet soaks, unless you kick them into something.

You have to buy ammo, WTF were they thinking????? It really sucks, I can understand that the devs want you to use environment kills, but to me that just limits your experience, I hate it. I want to shoot stuff and have the environment kills as a chocolate sauce on the pudding, apparently the devs disagree.

The env kills can get you killed, you are trying to kill an enemy in an interesting way and you die, cos you are dicking around too much to get the right angle to kick an enemy into an electricity point, you get killed. So after a few (long) reloads, you play a mix of standard FPS and then some Bulletstorm stylee.

The gfx kinda suck, there are some interesting vistas that you can look at in the distance, but the area that you can interact with is not great looking, yes its current gen, but the worst of the real current gen games.

The leash is pretty cool. but its first upgrade Thumper, while pretty awesome, costs you 500 points to use, so that kinda adds some suckage to the skill.

Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Fiach on February 26, 2011, 06:59:21 PM
OK, post three for the above reasons :)

I'm glad I have the game, its a good FPS, the dialogue is witty and the characters are pretty cool, the guns are well thought out (People can Fly always have interesting weapons, check out Painkiller, it was way ahead of its time), the story is pretty good for a FPS, the voice acting is kinda sucky tbh.

Geting skill points is pretty easy, you will never have to worry about  getting enough points for an upgrade, but while its not expensve, buying ammo in a FPS really blows.

All in all, if you have been interested at all in this game, you will not be disappointed with the finished product, on saying that, looking at its main contributors, I would prefer to play Gears of War and Painkiller. The game is interesting, but when you consider the people behind it, it should have been so much better. Its short, but Echoes makes up for that, where you can play each chapter and revel in new types of skillshots as you get better at what the game really wants you todo :)

Some interesting figures.

360 version sold 5:1 vs PS3, no doubt due to the inclusion of the Gears of War beta code, included with the 360 version.

But the sales figures....... 300k for the 360 version and only 60K for the PS3 version.

This game would have bombed only for the GoW betas inclusion with the 360 version, which is a shame, because it deserved to sell alot more on its own merit.

At least due to its success, hopefully the planned series will continue, unless they look at the PS3 figures and think that people aren't really interested in the IP itself, causing the devs to think again about the feasibility of sequels and just release DLC.

Sony are having a legal dispute with another company right now and all their machine´s have been siezed by the european customs. I think that might have something to do with it. Nobody wants to buy a new console that might be discontinued and therefore they´re not buying the games for it either.

sure thing about telling you my thoughts on it while I don't know about screenshots.. I fear that it will be yet another game without that built-in ability to take any.

If so, dear FRAPS users, do you happen to know if someone (a friend of mine) could purchase it for me and somehow give me ownership? Like donate the program or buy a license for someone else? If so, a friend of mine would do it for me (I never do online business myself).

I wouldn't sweat the pics, plenty online, plus gameplay videos, the game is pretty samey all the way through, and as its very much a corridor shooter, pics wont really do it justice.

Neither do gameplay videos, truth be told, its a game that has to be played to be appreciated. :)

You don´t need to buy fraps in order to use it for screenshots, I just dl:ed it and it works just fine for that. The only thing I can´t do is record more that 30 seconds of video.

isn't there a logo in the middle of the pic or something advertising FRAPS or telling everybody that they're looking at a trial version? Also, if I'm not mistaken, the full version allows various formats for pic and video output, doesn't it?

BULLETSTORM -- first impressions --

The installation of the game itself was unspectacular, but when it came to GFWL things got a bit annoying. The game starts with a prompt to log in with GFWL and GFWL told me an update was available so I had to either accept the update or die. Well, sort of. When the update was nearly finished it told me to save my game progress (which?) and to quit the game so the update could finish. Unfortunately I wasn't able to quit the game because I hadn't yet started it, so I was caught in an infinite loop -- task manager, end process..  ::) idiots. Of course it required me to restart the game and again I was told an update was available.. same procedure.  :D When I finally got everything sorted with GFWL, that alone had taken like half an hour to get it over with, I had been "installing" the game for like 45 minutes. I LOVE IT!  >:((

Because I have a limited edition of the game, I needed to redeem my code and stuff, using GFWL. An error occurred. The game quit itself and I was forced to troubleshoot it (I'd have liked to literally shoot the trouble or troublesome parts of the devs who come up with crap like that). There was no solution to be found, try again?  ??? Alright, the next time the game quit itself and on my desktop I could see a "Microsoft Marketplace" (a small rectangular picture without a process to it in the task manager) trying to install itself and load updates and all that. I started the game once more and after logging in to GFLW for the thousandths time I tried to redeem my code once more and.. it worked. As if nothing had ever happened. Innocently, so to speak. The extra content was some stuff I have no idea what it will be good for but apparently it only plays a role in the MP part of the game and I received some 25,000 experience points for MP as well.  A brief check told me I was able to host MP games.

Fiach, fancy some MP? :)

Alright, now the SP bit. Game controls are rather simple, walking, running, crouching, sliding, reload, kick, aim, fire, leash... easy to get used to. The graphics setting are all maxed out, no AA or AF and no VSYNC, smooth on my rig. Looks nice, a little cartoon-ish and over the top, but the game is supposed to be a little over the top as well, so that is alright. My given character looks like Wolverine with a body like Hulk and has got a voice and lines like Duke Nukem. Not a bad thing.

I am led by the game along some strange Sci-Fi mercenary story and from checkpoint to checkpoint, automatic game saving, and can restart chapters or from last save points. Basically the action consists of shooting enemies which I can pull towards me using a leash which looks like a cord on high voltage sparkling and dazzling with electricity and when the enemy "arrives" flying I can kick him and or shoot him. It is a splatter feast. They rip and shred and fly away or stick to protruding spikes in a wall or whatever caught them when flying away from me after a kick or they don't arrive because on their way to me they get caught by spikes or sharp obstacles.

Simple fun and non-stop action, quite a bit of gore and foul language and a nice looking alien or Sci-Fi environment..

Having a good time :)  :-X

Post by: Art Blade on March 12, 2011, 08:55:23 AM
Playing this game is entertaining. It is almost like it was when playing Crysis(1) regarding all the strange stuff and the guns and all, no idea but it does remind me of Crysis, yet I am sitting here grinning most of the time listening to the ongoing chat between my character and the guy I am running around with. Both have those juicy manly voices and keep talking bad a$$ talk and making comments that remind me very much of Duke Nukem. I like the graphics a lot, and so far it doesn't get on my nerves that it is strictly corridor gaming, there is just too much action that distracts me from that fact. It is a feeling like "I want to get out of here" in a way that I want to shoot my way out of there, run through passages and down paths, gliding down slopes and jumping across obstacles, all the way trying to kick and whip and shoot the living daylights out of the enemies that come in numbers but not too many.. just enough to keep you busy.

The specialty of the game is "the art of killing" as there are perhaps a hundred or more ways to kill enemies. There is a checklist for you to see what combos you've discovered so far and you keep unlocking kill combos that are worth certain amounts of experience points which you spend on upgrades or ammo. To do that, there are drop boxes every now and then, basically checkpoints, where you can refill your ammo or check stats and whatnot.

Non-stop action. :)

Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Art Blade on March 12, 2011, 12:24:20 PM
Just one example of different ways of killing enemies:

There is one weapon that fires "flails" which are two remote-controlled grenades strung together with a steel cord. When fired at an enemy it flings those two grenades towards your target and wraps them around the enemy rendering him tied up and helpless. The second time you fire that flail gun will set off those grenades. So you leash at him pulling him towards you, flail him and.. well, now instead of blowing him up right away you can choose to kick that walking bomb back to his friends and only then  blow him (and his friends) up.  :-D

I've played for hours with little breaks in between, this game is so much FUN ^+-+ :-X

Let's put it this way: If you like to walk around with one or more (AI) buddies (who won't die on you nor shoot you in the back) and wreak havoc to the best of your abilities (which increase with time and practice) and if you like a FPS game with enemies that you can kill a thousand ways depending on how creative your sick mind works, using weapons that are mind-blowing and render your enemies mind- and headless, if you like non-stop action with insane environments and nice light effects, if you are a fan of mean and explicit language, gore and dark humour combined with a bada$$ attitude, then you're 100% in for it  :-() :-X

Thanks for the impressions thus far, Art :-X Shame you can't get any screenies. Why don't the devs or whoever think of these things? I mean, wouldn't it be in their interest if fans could easily post their screenshots all around the net, in forums like this one? It's essentially free advertising and promotion... go figure.

Anyway, the game sounds like a splatterfest all right :-() Nothing wrong with that! I like the sound of that grenade bola thingy, cool :-X

 ;D

All weapons have a second fire mode and both can be combined with sliding, kicking and leashing. The shotgun has four barrels next to each other and you can shoot enemies that respond to the blast depending on how far or close you are. Far means they get propelled backwards (perhaps sending them sailing over a ledge resulting in a "vertigo" kill as they fall down a cliff) and closer will sever limbs or cut them in half. The leash has a "thumper" mode that sends all enemies around you flying straight up which may shatter them on the ceiling or switch on slow motion view so you can shoot them as the float slowly around or kick them away into someone or something or again over a ledge so they fall down a cliff. Quite some fun  :-()

Something I want to tell you is that I saw that dinosaur the size of a sky scraper and had to fight it. We all have seen "bosses" in games that are big, bigger, and still bigger, but this one is probably the most impressive boss I've ever seen. There was one scene when I looked at a foot of him the size of a shopping mall. When I wanted to see his head, I had to move the mouse all the way down my pad, back to the top and down again, performing like a 90° change of view, almost looking straight up. That thing is SO big you can't help but think, "wow."  :) :-X
Title: Re: Bulletstorm

One thought about having to buy ammo:

You can buy ammo using experience points as currency you get from various skill shots and other things -- but there is ammo to be found for free in ammo crates and weapons dropped by dead enemies. You can also pick up weapons if you like, replacing one of two optional weapons (you have three weapons to carry around, two of which can be exchanged). Using drop kits which are kind of arms dealers and can be found after each chapter (story, a LOT of chapters, they are all brief) so they allow for stocking up to the max and upgrading weapons as well as changing weapons or buying special ammo used for "charged" shots, the second fire mode each weapon offers. Over time you'll collect more points than you can spend, so there is no need to worry about having to buy stuff. :)

One thing about the game as a program:

I don't understand why the game presents a black screen for up to a minute when you fire it up. At first it made me think it had crashed, checking the task manager to confirm but no, it is normal. One minute! How about a loading screen?! >:((

Title: Re: Bulletstorm

I'm through with SP :)

Roughly somewhat less than 20 hours of fun. Great game  :) :-X

As to replay value: I definitely want to replay it at least once, and perhaps one or two times more using a different difficulty level. Getting to know the game was fun and knowing it will be even more fun because it takes quite some time to get used to the unique way of fighting, like using the environment, the leash, the thumper (second fire mode of the leash), kicks and of course those many weapons.

And perhaps some MP.. should be fun if it is co-op :)
Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Fiach on March 13, 2011, 08:11:47 AM
There is no vs MP, only co-op mate, in vs players were over powered, which made it pretty frustrating from what I can gather.

I thought the game was good for about a third, I got a bit bored in the middle, the final third was pretty awesome. 20 hours though? I would have said half that, but I dont know if the game records the length of play time, so I cant confirm that.

Of course you can replay chapters, but you can only use the equipment you had while playing that chapter originally, you can also replay missions as "echoes", which are like time trials, you rack up enough points and you unlock the subsequent echoes.

You can also swap your weapons load out at the drop canisters.

As regards points, I finished with about 20k left over, it would have been nice to bring these to a new game in some way or other.

The Thumper was pretty awesome, I would have been lost in the last section, if I didnt have it, it really turned it into easy mode though.

Did you let the credits roll to the end Art?, Theres a nice bit of dialogue there :)

Anyway, glad you has so much fun, its short, but incredibly sweet :)

yes, I read the credits to the end and listened to that brief conversation.. hehe  :-D No records of the SP game time, just guessing from when I installed the game to when I finished the SP campaign.

When I read co-op before actually playing MP I thought it was about playing the SP story with a couple of peeps (like in Quake II).

I have now played MP for a couple of hours and it was fun.. for three reasons:

1) People can't chat. (Except they use voice chat) No time for typing.. and no kiddish comments.
2) Co-op only works if you w@&k together, as soon as some clowns try soloing it out, the entire team doesn't make it. So they do cooperate.
3) The game and its "skill shots" is massive fun  :-()

I was a little surprised when I noticed that after a couple of hours I was able to survive until wave 11 and the teams usually croaked at wave 12 (each "party" in a co-op game consists of four random players vs AI advancing in waves, not unlike Borderlands and Mad Moxxi's Underdome).

I was about as surprised to find me in the upper bit of the world rankings, currently I'm lvl 22 and listed at around 4,000 out of around 35,000 players. :)

One thought about the technical aspect of MP:

It uses GFWL which uses the network parameters taken from windows and that means it apparently doesn't update the data when you get disconnected for some reason. If the game is still running you can use alt+tab and fix your connection and you can use alt+tab to get back into the game (never crashed using alt+tab, actually the entire time it only crashed once) but even if you are reconnected, the game (no, GFWL..) doesn't take notice  >:(

Now the nasty bit: If you had to reconnect to your ISP and if you are using a dynamic IP (no idea what happens with a static IP) the game claims that there is a network error. The only solution is to quit the game and restart, which takes some time obviously. For some reason GFWL keeps crashing my connection, I had countless lost connections and they were so bad every time I had to unplug the network cable and stick it back into my PC which of course made me angry to a point I actually cursed aloud. I have never had any problems with my network hardware but for reasons unknown the GFWL software  keeps screwing up my network hardware. I remember I had the same issues back in the day of FUEL which also uses GFWL. A complete system restart (cold reboot) seemed to fix the issue for a while but hell, I hate it.  >:((

Hehe, played some more MP (yes.. ME  ??? ) and so far no network troubles.. I noticed, because I quickly climbed up in ranks:

Now I'm Level 32 ("Veteran") and listed in those World Rankings (still around 35,000 players) sorted by Kills, # 1649, and Skill points # 2441 :)

This game is so much fun :-()

Scratch that.  ;D

Now Level 37 "Captain" and rankings # 1,031 at kills and # 1,569 at skill points out of 35,578 players (so the number of players is increasing :) )

Bed time  :-\\ ;)

Well, I keep climbing up and keep having fun :)

This game is so dependent on what the rest of the "party" (team) does that it is bothersome if one or more team mates treat it as if it was a simple deathmatch of any given simple shooter. They waste points needed to win a wave rendering those who want to win and advance helpless. If I realise that they keep doing it (playing on their own) I just leave the match and let the game find another random match.

Sometimes a random team works together rather quickly and it is fun to see how they assist one another, winning wave after wave with a lot more points than needed.. great games, those :)

The way you're going, the number of players is going to start decreasing as you bump 'em all off :-()

Glad you're having so much fun with it, mate :-X

Actually I'm now Level 46 "Spec Ops" and my ranking is around 500 regarding kills and around 780 regarding skills.. out of now 36,000 players :)

Some players just don't (yet) have a clue about the game's principles and the result is that they are not producing a good score together with their team. If the entire team (well, except yourself) is like that, then it cannot w@&k. Then you are lucky if you get past the third wave whereas with good team players you get beyond wave 15 or higher.. that is my maximum wave so far. :)

Hehe, going to do something you should avoid, quoting yourself  :-()

Quote from: Art Blade on March 17, 2011, 01:44:32 PM
I had abandoned multiplayer games because of two things: Amateurs taking it too seriously and idiots who called experts "noob/cheater" and at the time managed to blow the game by unfair and stupid gaming for anyone who was having fun. Those games that were team based usually consisted of the former type and FFA DM (free for all death match) games of the latter type. Now with Bulletstorm there is no chat ( ^-^ ) so no calling names and there is only one team based MP mode which in a way requires all four team mates to assist one another or everyone fails. That may be the only MP shooter I'll play for a while because either you're having fun together or you just leave ;D You can't admire the landscape as the game is Human vs AI, so the AI will always be after you..  ;)

This was in another topic but should be here as well.

Apparently the upper ranks in the world ranking consist of those players who do the best job in a team which means playing together with them will increase the fun factor and if you can catch up with them it will make you part of a winning team so you may share victory and a happy feeling of having played well.

I try to get as high as possible in ranks (currently I am a level 54 "Black Ops" listed as # 268 for kills and # 364 for skill points, out of 36,834 players) looking for good players who w@&k well together as a team and I was able to invite people I had met before to join me for a game and I was also invited to join a game.

The coolest experience of team play I have ever had coming up now:

We (four humans) had one last enemy (AI) which was tagged (blue column reaching to the sky indicating his position) and those blue targets have a text hovering above them telling you what to do with them, a team goal which grants a high score if you manage. We had to feed him to a fly trap (a giant plant, it's a part of the map) but here comes the twist: The map is basically shaped like a doughnut; we and that enemy were grouped together on one end of the loop and the fly trap was on the opposite site of the hole which was located at the centre of the map so we needed to get him across the map around the hole in the middle (you can't fall in accidentally) and only then kick him into the fly trap. If anyone was a little too trigger-happy we would fail.. and there was no chat and at that time no voice chat either going on so there was no way of communication.. I was curious and hoping no one would kill him and I knew enemies try to home in on you so there was a chance to sucker him into following us and then having us kill him with a fly trap..

I started to walk towards that fly trap and so did everyone else.. no shooting (except the enemy shooting at us) and we all walked slowly so he kept trying to catch up with us..  ??? Took some time and we actually made him follow us to the final destination and then one of us kicked him towards that fly trap and another guy gave him another kick to adjust his flight path towards the fly trap.. and we managed!!  ??? ^+-+ :-X

THAT was great and intelligent team play, I hope to see that more often :) :-X

Let me put it this way: I wasn't a pro myself but occasionally was invited to play with pros during their training matches and I did play world league games for some time. I was ranked #1 of the world a couple of days once and used to rank in the top 10 out of say 250,000 players for a couple of months. Then it was too bothersome and I went back to casual gaming. :)

No wonder you do so well at gaming, Art! Remind me never to pick a cyber-fight with you :-D

I used to w@&k with a pro gamer years ago in my IT days. I called him "5 by 5" because he was five feet tall and five feet wide - the most spherical human being I've ever seen. When he sat down at his desk his office chair would just disappear :-() But man, could that guy game! We used to have Quake DMs in the office after w@&k on Fridays and he was unbeatable. Unfortunately he was also loud and obnoxious, which is why I never felt terribly guilty about bestowing that derogatory honorific upon him. But obesity is clearly no handicap in cyberspace!

Hehehe, I'm the total opposite of that bloke.. I'm fit and slim and not loud and all that :)

However, I've just finished playing with a high ranking player I had noticed and played with before. We agreed to play as a team of two (rather than four) and make it a private match because people who had joined us weren't team playing (maybe because they don't understand the scoring system). So I hosted the game and we played his favourite map until wave 12 and we only stopped because it is late now and we both need some sleep (eventually)  :-()

Each wave we scored so abundantly that right now I've levelled up to 56 "Echo" and now my rank is for kills # 243 and for skill points # 311 out of 36,916 players. Funny thing, he and I together play better than a team of four despite the fact that we have to deal with the same amount of enemies  ^-^ Now we need a third and a fourth guy who play team oriented.. man, then things will look really good  ;D

Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Art Blade on March 18, 2011, 06:49:04 PM
The player I mentioned before, Binnatics, gave me some tips regarding weapon loadout and upgrades and we had planned to team up again today. So I was really looking forward to this night's game and indeed it was as good as I had hoped: Binnatics and I played a private match on that "doughnut" map (actually it's called Dead Rock).

After one or two waves we had warmed up and played from fixed positions across the "hole" (actually there's a tornado in that hole) and the goal was simple: One player kicks a nearby enemy towards the tornado hole and the other player leashes (whips out an energy string) that same enemy and pulls it into the tornado. That is a simple concept but of course it's not only just that, the map has a lot of obstacles and paths and stuff so it's not just a plain field. There are sometimes hordes of enemies swarming the map, most of the time they home on in on one player who is then really busy to keep them off his neck  >:D

So while he kicks at them for his life the other player pulls those temporarily incapacitated and floating enemies out of the air and into something that kills them. As long as one enemy had contact with two players before he dies the score doubles ("team score"). If you manage to pull off some "skill shots" that are defined (kind of a set of rules) you get a nice score and double it because you played it as a team. Then there are mini bosses who are basically the only enemies you need to shoot at (they're tough and you can't kick or leash them) but we went through them like a hot knife through butter  :-D

Remember I told you how those random teams of four players I had played in usually didn't make it past wave 12? Now just the two of us had no problems at all to go up to wave 17 and we only stopped because he had to go to bed (he's got to w%&k tomorrow). We did so well that both of us made a jump in the world ranking :)

I had played a bit without my team mate, too (I played a different map alone, "team of myself" hehe, and was able to get to wave 13 before I got bored). Now I'm a level 60 "Echo" and my ranking for kills is #150 and # 176 for skill points, out of currently 37,365 players.

Man, if we could find one or perhaps two more players who play like that and assist one another.. it would be a dream team  :)

There is one thing about this MP game that is quite hard to cope with: You can't stop.

Not that you wouldn't want to, but there is no pause menu or anything that could stop those waves of enemies. They keep coming. If you want to take a leak, you better do it during the end of a wave when the scores are shown for a couple of seconds, then the next wave starts with a limited amount of time during which you have to spend your experience points you earned during the last wave on upgrades for your weapons and armour, speed and stamina.. all in all, not really funny if you notice during a fight that you'd really have to go some place knowing that while you're away your team (perhaps only one guy) will have to stay alive and keep you alive, too.. hehehe ^-^

So indeed it is quite challenging everything considered  :-() But it is good fun :)

Ha! Another private match with that Russian player (Sergei17) playing a team of two game on Dead Rock map was a full success, with his help I finished my first complete challenge with all 20 waves. Woo-hoo  :-D

Currently out of 37,533 players I'm ranked #106 for kills (7,725 kills, and additionally 121 revives which is quite a lot compared to other players but if a team mate goes down it is the only thing I care about and I try to revive him first) and rank #128 for skill points (1,811,695 points with 11,422 skill shots needed -- you can get points with fewer shots if you focus on high scoring skill shots but I also kill for less just to survive or to get a mate out of trouble when surrounded by enemies).

All that in less than a week  ;)

And now I found an American player (Idan4326) whom I invited to do the same routine on Dead Rock and we managed all 20 rounds ;D

Now I'm a level 65 "Final Echo" and my rankings are currently #82 for kills and #70 for skill points, a total of 37,696 players ranked.

YES, top 100!  :)

Taking the MP game to a higher level, Binnatics and I decided to use voice chat so we were able to communicate and max out the scores even more. Basically it's like "here's one for you" and "ok, got him" or "there's a boss" and "no, not any more, there isn't." :-D

I'm playing the highest level 65 "Final Echo" (same as Binnatics) and the ranking is now for Kills #61 and for Skill Points #37 out of 37,982 players. I checked the scores and am convinced that in the top ten there are at least five cheaters (it is impossible to score like 230 million points with like 1,500 shots) but anyway, I got there within less than a week.

Playing like this requires a good strategy and useful tactics and focussing for perhaps two or three hours (20 waves) if you want to catch every enemy and kill him together with your team mate to get as many points as possible, but we're still enjoying it and having a good laugh in between :) It is totally different from what most players do, they just go in and kill for themselves, their only strategy being "let's kill some."

End of Report -- Final Impressions

Now it's Sunday night again, so you guys have followed one week of my multiplayer career as a Bulletstorm team player. After this one week my final standings are as follows:

Out of currently 38,464 ranked players, my ranking is

#25 with 2,935,979 skill points and 17,803 skill shots
#38 with 10,443 kills and 192 revives (of team mates)
#59 with 562 challenges played, 574 waves completed, 4 full matches played (from wave 1 to 20)

These are the three rankings and their categories to be found in Bulletstorm MP.

If you play as a regular player, you'll see a chaotic game with more or less accidentally caused team skill shots. Anyone can perform skill shots and the sum of them is the team score; each the team score required to advance to the next wave depends on how many players a team has (like, two players need 20,000 team skill points to finish wave 20, whereas three already need 30,000 points total which is hard to get, and a regular team of four players needs 40,000 points which is next to impossible without strategy, tactics and communication). If one enemy is killed with a skill shot performed by two or more players, every player's score who participated in the killing doubles. So you see, usually random teams can't make it past wave 19 and most of the time not even past wave 12.

I've only met three people who are capable of adjusting their way of playing the game so that the team really gets good scores without voice chat. With one of them I played a private match (2 players) using messages and the score was great. With two of them I played "team of two" (I made up this term) using voice chat and the results were amazing. Binnatics and I played together as if we had played this for years but we only played three games together so far, one as a random team of four and I noticed his skills, the second game was private yet without voice chat but we had exchanged like two messages before we started the match (one: general simple strategy, two: weapon loadout) and the third.. it was heaven. In the end our team scored roughly 48,000 skill points in wave 20 while we only needed 20,000)

Another very promising player is Idan4326 but his mic was broken so he could basically only listen to me and replied with text messages in GFWL which isn't easy to follow (interrupts the game flow). However, we did have a lot of fun and scored abundantly, so maybe we'll try a team of three with Binnatics as soon as Idan4326 has got a headset.

It is a great team game and depending on how you play it can be very amusing. Once you've got the score needed to get to the next wave, you can kill the rest of the enemies any way you want. Since our teams score so high, we have lots of enemies to just waste and that was just so funny.. like playing football with them, touch down, field goal, kick-off and what not. I was laughing so hard with Idan4326 as we played a different map that has a massive waste press (garbage compactor) in the middle that slams down like a sledge hammer on an anvil...   ^+-+

I enjoy the game as long as the right people are in the team. Else it's just chaotic and basically frustrating to see what they call "team play." I'm glad that I have found those few people who make this game so special.

Talking about time, I just checked the game time, like 55 hours. Oh and I just had to play a few more rounds and got even higher in ranks.. I think the limit is just the ranks below some score cheaters who set it with like 230 million points. I think it works the same way as in TDU2, they want to upgrade everything at once and from start and "give" themselves skill points so they can buy stuff but "unfortunately" it also registers as skill points in the MP rankings. If you took them out of the equation I'd be in the top twenty by now and might get even into the top ten.

I just met another top ranking player, going to find out what he's like in a private match with headphones and mic (headset)  ;)

Well, hello there ppl's,

I've just finished reading the whole bulletstorm topic, lol 20 pages ;)
Anyway, great to b here. Funny to read through a timeline like this... ppl start hearing about an upcoming game, some manage to obtain a beta-version or so, and then when it comes out ppl get even more enthousiast every day!
I think Bulletstorm is the best shooter i've played since Red Faction Guerrilla, which had also a good combi of mp and sp gaming.
First I thought I would quickly finish the game and leave it behind, but it's different. Like Art was talking about, you climb up in the ranks, and killing with all these different skillshots is just SO FANTASTIC!!!

The game is great fun and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't allready bought it.

By the way, I did not have so many trouble installing and signing in to GfWL. I agree that it is not a good thing having happened to the PC gamers, and experienced some trouble with it myself in other games. But for this one (I bought the retail version) everything was working fine, accept for numerous disconnection issues and bad connections in MP matches. Not sure if that is due to the one hosting the game, or the network.
Anyway, when in a private match so far I never lost connection.

Gonna take some rest now (it was late yesterday, and just before going to bed i remembered I had an apointment with my dentist this morning at 08:00 h :D)
Title: Re: Bulletstorm

Ow, so that must have been a really short night then and a rather bad start for a new day ???

The "bad connection" issue during random public matches is something I don't understand either, as if the game used different servers all over the world, some of which probably on the opposite side of the world.

I too lost connection a couple of times during public matches -- particularly annoying if you had fought your way up to say wave 12 or higher because usually you won't be able to get back into the same game due to the random distribution of player slots and even if you do you'd have lost all your weapons and upgrades.  :-\\

And indeed, private matches so far have been smooth regarding connections and I haven't lost connection during those either. :)

I was wondering if we could share some "great skillshot ideas" overhere. I myself have given it a thought and came up with the following:

Anyone having more ideas let me know, we can try it in-game to c how it works.

We tried the blood symphony skillshot but it didn't turn out to be what we had hoped for. As a matter of fact, only one weapon seems to be worth using during MP which is called flailgun. A flail (without exploding it) attached to the enemy before he gets busted by another team player produces an extra "sadist" skillshot adding points to the skillshot that actually killed him and both players involved get the extra points. :) Also, the flailgun helps to stop bosses and incapacitate them for a while which is a great advantage when battling them.

On an aside, I think this is the first game that allows console and PC players to join the same MP game, basically because it's not so much a precision shooting game but hitting somewhat big targets, allowing auto-aiming and snapping the crosshair onto the target, there shouldn't be a big difference between console and PC players.

I came to believe that we share the same games because the GFWL shows a little guy on the gamer card for PC players and then there is a different icon of a little guy with a console controller across it which is probably used by Xbox360 players.  :)

Always a nice surprise to find people out there who enjoy a good coop match and play along, this time top-ranking jriker43 who immediately grabbed his headset and dipped into a 2-player-team private match with me and we did have fun picking those pesky enemies and leash them through a tornado..  :-D

Actually talking to players during and after a match is a nice experience. There are only few players out there who play along like that but those are all nice people  :)

Maybe we can pull off a team of three or even four some time soon.. looking forward to it :)

Me too i'm looking forward to having a four-player party. It whould make the game even more fun!
I wonder if they will ever allows both console and pc players connect to eachother in the same online match. I believe there is still no connection possible. They set that up for GTA IV, but I guess it only included leaderboards.

I agree they should do that, and with the new possibilities on 'motion-sence-controllers' it should allready b possible to enjoy the same shooting/aming experience as a mouse gives to the PC gamer. Think it will come by the time, they still need to get used to it.

I agree that this game should make the perfect start to it. Fine aiming is just not neccessary, only if you want to do headshot. Well, headshots don't produce big coop scores, so why would we try that but for the fun every now and then? I still like the 'gag-reflex' where you hit someone with a bullet in the throat or the 'mercy' when shooting someones balls off and finish him with a nice kick to the head  >:(

Yes, we finally made it!!! Art and I we got a score above 50000 in one single wave. The hard part is that you have to do that in wave 20, which is the last round. So you have to pass all the other rounds and then finally get the shot in the last one. That takes about 3 hours of playing before getting the shot at it.
We did it with only 2 players, what is quite an achievement.
Now I'm all tired so good night all of you!

C ya later (:)

 ;D :-X

The "Anarchy Master" (50,000+ skill points in the 20th -- final -- wave of a challenge) achievement is something the best team players strive for but few manage to get it. Teams of four good players may get it so indeed, doing it on our own, this nice rewarding achievement is special.

OWG for the win  ;D :-X

During one full challenge we get roughly 300,000 skill points each while we'd probably only have needed something like 20,000 to just finish it  :-()

I'm closing in on the first page of the leaderboard as well. Currently ranked #19 for skillpoints. Gotta get roufhly 1.000.000 more skillpoints to enter position 15, which makes me on the first page ;)
Hope to get that done this week, since i'm busy working and can't play every day ;)

Anyway I really feel satisfied having completed this 50.000 achievement which was actually the last one to get for me. I have my 1000g for the game in GfWL now, and I actually didn;t encounter other players yet who managed to get all the achievements.
I know most gamers hate the achievement strategy added to games by GfWL, but when you allready have beaten several games completely (I mean obtained all achievements) it gets sort of an addiction to max out every game you play in the achievement kind of way.
In many games it means having endless searches through the game for special attributes to find, luckiely not in Bulletstorm. I think the achievements are well chosen for the game. You need both skill and dadication to get them, which is the way it was ment to be in the first place. I like that.

I remember playing Dead Rising 2, and in order to get all achievements there you had to find every single product that there was to find in the game. You had like a hundred shops all containing different stuff so that was a pointless search of days to find them all. Also there was an achievement where you needed to kill 72.000 zombies in one playthrough, which basically ment doing nothing but ride over groups of zombies with a hummer-like vehicle for hours and hours, and only take a few little breaks to do the storie missions on time. No skill neede for that, and the 'dedication' asked for it was a little too much of it, in my opinion.
It's simply not interesting tyo know what different stuff all these shops sell, only a small amount of these product was fun and usefull in the gameplay so what the hack?  :D

Anyway, concluding so far that I really enjoyed obtaining every achievement for bulletstorm, and I'm also a little proud of it  :-D

well done :)

I only go for stuff I like, and if I don't see any fun in it, I won't do it. That's why I don't care about that sort of thing but that one particular challenge, "Anarchy Master," was something I had wanted to achieve because it was a cool challenge. It is even more satisfying to know that we managed to get it with a team of only two players while others still haven't got it with four players.  :-()

I know here at OWG are a couple of players that try to get everything there is, like those 1,000 diamonds in FC2 (something I did only after having finished a lot of play-throughs and only because JRD "made" me to)  :)

That's great Deadman, then we can make a team of at least 3 blokes willing to do a nice coop match. Can't wait to try that out  :-X

That would be cool but I´m going to need a lot of practise before I´m able to go online  :)

deadman, I'm sure that either Binnatics or I could teach you the basics, just a private match so the maniacs outside there don't spoil the fun. It won't take long to get used to the MP tactics and gear (weapons and upgrades) :)

Just make sure that you're playing with a headset (headphones+microphone) or it will be difficult and a different experience. :)

We will guide you through Deadman, you'll be up and running in no time. Like Art said, the headset is a musthave to share best fun, the game really is up for a laugh ^+-+

There are allready TWO DLC's available for Bulletstorm. The problem is that they are expensive. Both 10 euros. Still, I really wanna get those. It's the best game I've played this year, I wanna enjoy it again  :-() :-() :-()

I decided to NOT buy these freekin DLC's. Same for the Dirt 3 DLC's. I have to spend HALF of the original retail price just for some extra maps and cars / weapons. That's rediculous. And it's also rediculous that I HAVE to buy it through Windows Marketplace, which only accepts payments through creditcards.
F***'m, I will never buy anything there. I'll wait for another great game >:((

??? That's a bit rich, half the RRP of the original game for an add-on. Bloody shysters >:((

I installed Bulletstorm again on my shiny new hardware. Must say I'm glad to hear the Leach lick again ^-^
Occasionally, I checked for the DLC's: There's a new way of paying added to Win Marketplace, plus it self-installs itself on my system and pre-loads with every freakin session of windows :angry-new:
Now it allows you to use Paypal as well, which seems a better way to me than using my wife's Creditcard (I don't have one of my own :-[ :-D)

I was close on buying them, until I found out the prices haven't dropped a bit: still €10,- a piece!!!! And the original game costs only €12,0 now in Holland!!! Thieves >:((
I checked the price at Steam as well: They don't offer any DLC but they do sell the original game for, stil, €50,-!!!!!!!! What is this online business bringing us!!!!! I thought it should be cheaper, not needing to press, ship and sell me a disc, nicely covered in a plastic box with a beautiful cover art. And all they do is charge me MORE!!!!
Ain't that the world upside down?

F*ck these DLC's, I stick to my original opinion on this and I won't let this come between me and the joy I was planning to have in Bulletstorm again.  :)

Well I dunno if the game has a strong MP community, but here if its a game like CoD, it will stay at full price for a LONG time as people only buy it for the MP mostly, so they will milk it for as long as possible, if its still got a big player base..
Title: Re: Bulletstorm
Post by: Binnatics on February 06, 2012, 10:03:37 AM
It definitely has NOT a big online community. It's okay, I mean there has never been a short of players to do a MP game the first few months, but if you looked at the rankings there were like 2 or 3 hundred players conquering the highest scores online so that's far from a CoD community. I agree with high pricves for games like that; you can have months and months of joy doing the MP games, but for Bulletstorm it's far from that. The DLC's don't offer much extra according to either single and multi player so it's just a way of exploiting imho

...Let's put it this way: If you like to walk around...and wreak havoc to the best of your abilities (which increase with time and practice) and if you like a FPS game with enemies that you can kill a thousand ways depending on how creative your sick mind works, using weapons that are mind-blowing and render your enemies mind- and headless, if you like non-stop action with insane environments and nice light effects, if you are a fan of mean and explicit language, gore and dark humour combined with a bada$$ attitude, then you're 100% in for it  :-() :-X
This is why People Can Fly bought this trailer out to distinguish Bulletstorm from your average FPS  :)

Duty Calls (http://www.destructoid.com/duty-calls-a-playable-bulletstorm-production-193150.phtml)

Well done on those MP scores Art - I hardly ever found anyone in MP to play with, not that I'd be that good anyway - perhaps I should try again though.

 ^-^ :-X

Funny trailer indeed :)

For the online part; I think they should have made the combo kills more easy to perform. And make it possible that 3 or even 4 people contribute to a single kill. It was too easy to do it on your own and try to be better than your teammates. Anyway, when you find the right guy the game could be great fun!
