I'm not even sure where to begin with that :o It's an unbridled, testosterone-fueled playground of epic proportions!! ???
As long as the vid stays embedded while watching, I can watch it without registering. Once I click it in a way YT pops up, I see the refusal message there. So I watched it embedded.. Cool, hehe :)
Whoa. Mindless bashing, head-banging and dildo-slapping innocent pedestrians. Shooting people across the city or at large chimneys after having sucked them into that cannon first.. nice red mark they leave on the bricks when they hit. >:D
Not sure if that is enough to keep up one's interest for long. ????
Ummm... theres a story too Art lol :D :-X >:D
well I know what I want for Xmas. Apocafist has just made it to the top of my list.

That made me chuckle, then :-()
Hilarious to watch, but honestly i cant see any replay value at all. Does the AI ever fight back? They just stand there or run straight ahead. What is the goal or main mission?
It looks cool and all but I agree with Art and Rica... what's the point in all that mayhem? Is there a story to keep you playing?
It clearly follows the GTA line but in GTA the story is one of the strongest points. Your character goes into an odissey throughout the game reaching many climax points in all chapters of the franchise I played. The violence and car theft, bank robbering and killing spree is just a consequence, not a purpose.
It seems to me that they took what GTA had best and dumbed it down putting violence as a main objective regardless of the story. ????
Don't take me bad Fiach, I respect your opinion and I'm not trying to rain on your parade with my comments, but it seems quite a silly game to me.
No offence taken guys :)
Yes, there is a story, that was just one of the developers showing some of the games features and some of the more outlandish moments, hence no reaction from bystanders, it was just a showcase.
Its the third game in the series and yes, its VERY like GTA. Basically the series follows the trials and tribulations of a gang called The Saints as they (in each game) take over a city. Usually there are three gangs, Saints being one of them, as you play the game, you do missions to take over "turf" from the other gangs, to build your empire, but the gangs fight back too, so its not just a one way street.
From what you guys are saying, I'm guessing that you havent heard much about the series before, well most reviewers tend to describe it as GTA, but much more fun to play, each game would score maybe 8+/10 in reviews from magazines.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it :)
Uhh...

Only if that VTOL's Wonder Woman's invisible jet would you be considered naked before landing. ????
Mandru.... you put a bit too much thought into that....... I'm getting a bit worried now lol :)
I just worry a lot about repeating stupid old mistakes. ;)
Just another day in any random asylum and you'll get used to slapping people with purple dildos without worrying too much any more about all that. :-D

there would be a lot of slapping hands going on, "MINE!" :-D
After reading most of the topic and watching the trailer, I'd like to make a few comments.
I think I can have an awful lot of fun in this game, it looks shiny and userfriendly and the stuff they show is funny and seamingly easy to do. But...
In the first place, it seems that they try to make a parody of the game where they got their whole idea from; GTA. I agree with the fact that GTA has normally a good, solid storyline which makes the game accessible throughout the campaign. I think it's not completely fair to make a parody of a game where you had your major ideas from in the first place. Saints Row 1 and 2 were practically copies of the earlier GTA versions, and might have been only competing the original with better looking graphics.
Second, the original stuff shown in the video like the pink dildo, the tank, the superyet, the hookers, the dancing, the fighting, the gimpsuit and other clothing, have all been done in earlier GTA versions. Especially San Andreas had loads of these funny things.
Only the giant fists and the "people-launching-canoncar" look original to me. They seem to make these attributes more commonly accessible through the gameplay and they seem to have maxed out the smoothness of all these features.
One of the most important parts of the original GTA formula was, imho, the free roaming ability: Walking or driving through the city while destroying or violating whatever you wanted. It's still a big part of the game in the latest version, GTA IV. But it has allways been just a part of it. Besides there was the solid storyline and a huge variety of missions involving shooting, driving, searching, flying, cycling, swimming and whatever you could imagine in a free openworld city or even countryside.
Amongst evolving the game through various versions they built their own GTA cities with all the funny and typical content. They somehow created their own world, well known and adored by the GTA-junkies.
This new Saint's Row game seems to highlight this free roaming ability and max it out as far as possible. What they forget is that it ain't so original, and that it is not a stand-alone formula. I think they try to 'win' a battle against their great idol, without having really understood what was the main succes of the game.
Having said that, I think I will get the game on some special offer, or so. It DOES look cool to play and I'm sure it will entertain me. It just hasn't that typical... GTA feeling in it ^-^
One of the GTA episodes had the "Hot Coffee" scandal that was connected to it.
I remember weeks on end of screeching and complaining in the news from different government officials and parental groups and yet this game will probably slip right through with little notice from any of them. Most likely because it's so tame compared to some of the scenes I've encountered from Kratos God of War and others like it that have stretched the envelope so far out of shape it can't really be called an envelope any more.
We've come a long way, right? ::)
IIRC that was a "mod" for GTA and not the original version?
My understanding was that it was actually buried intact in the game code and had to be unlocked. I can be completely wrong and I often am. I'm not sure of the precise details. :-D
Still the results for "Hot Coffee" at best amounted to fully clothed dry humping and was a lot tamer than a lot of what's out there in other games nowadays.
I think you're right Mandru, it was embedded in the original first version of San Andreas. You had to unlock it with a cheat. Since there were so many complaints about it, they skipped it in the newer versions of the game. Still, if you have V1.0 it's there.
I've never seen it since I don't usually cheat, but I found all the turbulence about it kind of funny ^-^
Ah, OK, I have never completed a GTA game, so never needed to cheat lol :)
Another reason I hate watching the news - a self-inflated bobblehead feigns disgust at a story like that, while at the same time ignoring their own professional responsibility to actually fact-check their stories before regurgitating them.
Saint Row The Third Mission 2 Trailer
Saints Row the Third Mission 2 Freefalling Trailer [HD] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0r_vPLmOVI#ws)
wow looks very exciting :-X
Nice find, really enjoyed that :)
I'm watching many SR 2 gameplay on Youtube, I think I might check it out today. Gameplay looks a lot of fun, crazier, funnier, more stuff, lots of cuztomization, weapons (you even can caryy a katana ^+-+ ) than GTA IV. GTA IV sure looks better, bigger, the Liberty City feels much more alive but there are 2 things really bug me: first, the lack of mid-mission checkpoints is frustrating i.g. if you die/get busted you have to do the whole mission from the beginning again (along with the tedious driving), second, the "realistic physic" make the driving rather difficult.
??? wow.... the guy going through the plane three minutes after jumping out of it is... is... I can't find words for that... ??? ... and all that fighting and falling debris while free falling... ???
@ninzza... if I remember correctly you do have mid mission checkpoints in GTA IV although they are a bit far away so you might have to do a lot of stuff again if you die / get busted.
As for driving, it isn't the physics that bothers me in GTA IV but rather the camera. I have to keep correcting it with the mouse to get it right so it gets quite annoying. The other GTA games had a different camera view while driving, more steady at the back of the car, it was easier to see what you are doing during turns.
That vid was impressive with regard to pace (lots of action) and reminded me of JustCause2 but the graphics weren't so fresh -- they reminded me of older console games (as far as I can tell, being a PC gamer).
For my taste there were too many enemies coming from nowhere. I mean, think about it, you are in a plane about to be executed, manage to break free, kill LOADS of guards, take over the plane, throw out your buddies in the mean time, drop out of the plane, and now.. why would "body guards" jump out and chase you in packs? After that, going through all kinds of stuff that had fallen out of the plane you catch a girl, then the massive air liner turns as if it was a WWII combat plane and manages to aim and ram you while you whiz down in free fall. And again there are still guards inside, and even more who have now jumped out (why only now and not when the first wave had jumped out?) and happily chase you.. I mean, COME ON! ::)
GTA IV is what I'm playing now, I'm new to GTA so I can't compare it with previous GTA games. I am a FPS guy who likes to drive FPS style. Like that, I don't have any difficulties driving around. When I want to see what's behind me, I switch camera views but generally I go back to FPS ("hood view"). The driving experience depends on the car you chose. If you're in a muscle car or those SUV-type of cars, you're close to losing it when turning and driving around corners but the European sports cars are flat and stiff as a plank so you can drift around easily.
When you die, you receive a text message on your mobile asking you if you want to retry the mission which will then start where the mission originally starts, so you don't need to drive to the mission first. I don't like the save game management of GTA IV either. 12 slots plus auto save, only being able to save when you're in a safehouse is annoying when playing on a PC. Maybe normal for consoles but silly for PC games.
Makhail Faustin asks me to find his daughter. And then I have to chase the biker guy and shoot him . I died, then I have to drive to where his daughter is gain and chase the biker.
Little Jacob asks Niko to run down some guys and then take him to a building to help him shoot some other guys. I die at the building shootout, I have to restart the eintire mission from beginning: running down 3 bad guys.
But the the biggest problem in GTA is the gameplay, 99% of them require you to chase some guy and then either beat him or shoot him. I've just completed 20 missions and I feel bored, the gameplay are dull.
You dont have choice when doing mission, you can complete each mission in only 1 way.
IMO, GTA is way overrated and I'm very surprised that it's hugely popular.
In GTA IV there are several choices during the game and missions don't always play out exactly the same. For instance, you can use car bombs (prepare the car of the unsuspecting target) and blow him up or use a rocket launcher to blow him up or ram him and shoot him.. some missions allow you to climb around on cranes or high buildings and snipe the target rather than just waltzing in going close and personal using fire arms or hand grenades and so on.. In the meantime (free roam) there are so many things you can do and an incredible amount of different vehicles.. but that is just my point of view. If you experience it differently then we just perceive it differently :)
FC2 wasn't much different. Chase a target, kill a target, blow something up.. If you croak, your rescue buddy comes (in case you didn't forget to activate one previously) or you are asked to load a previous savegame which on consoles could be a long way from the actual mission. That's when the PC version was better, you could save anywhere and everywhere :)
Maybe there are some missions that allow players to complete objective in some ways but the 20 missions I've completed so far allow me only 1 way.
But the biggest problem with GTA IV (for me) is that there are far too many missions force you to chase some guy either by car or on foot.
Yes, in FC2, we also kill someone, blow up something much like GTA IV but I don't think there is any chase mission in FC2, maybe only 1 but certianly not 90% like GTA IV.
I think the chase-missions only occur at the beginning, when you are still a small guy on the streets. Once you get to know the 'big guys' you'll get better missions and won't have to chase them all the time. My opinion is that GTA missions are far more diverse then for example FC2. I've played older versions of the game as well and was always surprised with the differences between all the missions. But there is always a build-up in the gameplay. You always start like a small gangster guy and end up like one of the big time players. I remember Vice city where you started like a guy of zero importance, except for having huge debts with some bad guy. After fighting your way through a lot of missions you end up owning half the city. You can even buy a casino and a film-studio with corresponding missions. Some funny, others annoying, but always some good ones. ;)

The ' Recommended ' system seems a little steep, not looking good for the PC's optimization, again :(, or it could be a sign that the PC version has very superior graphics (Higher resolution textures, models, view distance settings), So who knows? Only time will tell. Still waiting on the review for this one.
Wow, looks like I'll need a hardware upgrade!
Yeah, i'm expecting about the same for skyrim's PC spec's, which will be released in just a few days.
I just thought that, too, PZ. Damn, about time to consider an upgrade.. and geez, 4GB RAM means you have to have a 64bit OS. That is silly. But a better GPU is kind of unavoidable it seems, these days. :)
Yeah, I agree - my i7, main board and ram are still OK, but I'm thinking about retiring my GPU to one of my lower end computers and getting something new for my gaming rig.
Anyone getting this game? Due to be released tomorrow.
I will but not sure when mate, its getting avg of 8/10, due to its not being a major departure from SR 2 technically and the overboard antics arent sitting well with some reviewers for some reason. They think its more a case of style over substance, having a car chase with a jet works for me though :)
I think I'll wait too - I'm picking up Revelations tomorrow, and that is likely to keep my quite busy for a while. ;)
I will wait too. I am curious, but let the die hards clear the path so that I get a clean, patched and running game, for maybe even a lower price ;)
Good luck with Revelations, I still have only played the first part of AC 1, I have the second and third, plus one on the PSP, but havent got around to them yet :(
Just a matter of a long, a very long weekend, mate :-()
I loved AC2 and ACB - never really got into AC1 though - unsure why.
I've been playing this for a couple of days now and am loving the Hell out of it. Character customization is what makes it fun. This...is me. :-()

Hey eor... long time no se... you err... look different... ::)
Thanks for posting those pics... I thought I was a freak for checking Catwoman out in Batman Arkham City but phew..... I'm waaaaaay normal... ^-^
Have fun and keep us posted about your adventures... with nasty details! ;D
Using me as a benchmark for what is normal is tenuous at best. ;D
You can make your character run around nude but women's breasts and both sexes' genitals and butts are pixelated. I understand on the pc version it is possible to eliminate some if not all of the pixels.
I picked it up this evening, got a pain in my bum with Skyrim and needed some sort of catharsis! :)
I only played past the aeroplane bit, where you and the chick arrive in town at the start, it was an awesome intro to a game, reminded me a bit of one of the old MDK games where you free fall from the plane at the start.
The heist reminded me a bit of the Batman movie, when they lifted the vault up in the chopper, was a good laugh :)
Some nice nods to the Point Break movie too :)

I'm really having fun with it. Once you purchase businesses, they start generating income on an hourly level. My investments are netting me 32K every hour as long as the game is running. I'm keeping the game running while I do other things and transfer 32K into my account every hour...and in return I'm buying up all the skills, weapons, and ammo upgrades before proceeding. The trick is there is now a 50K max on what can be transferred so I do have to remember to check every hour or I don't get everything I'm entitled to.
I'm about 20 percent through the main storyline. When I return to the storyline, I'm gonna kick some serious butt. :-D
The video quality is poor as it was shot by an iPhone but you get the gist of Saints Row gameplay using the purple dildo as a weapon against the police while dodging sniper fire from a helicopter.

Brutes...they are a handful. ???
But where did he come from, a rival gang or did I hit him with a car, I was just doing the tutorial.
Great pics and vid there :-X :-X
The DEV's must have had a butt focus :-() Like that ^-^
Brutes belong to rival gangs. They tend to show up when your notoriety goes up. They often bring heavy weapons that cause big problems.
Ah, cool, Havent seen another yet, bought some places and attacked some gangs, its a fun game :)
Once again my apologies for the video quality and the crooked framing...iPhone video of a monitor. But this should give you a sense of how crazy fun Saints Row Third can be. A topless woman in a thong kicking a$$. What's not to love? :-()
BTW...this is on the easiest setting. ???

I got the guide today (it and Skyrim for 20 quid), it has a DLC code for a Sniper Rifle, a costume, it looks like a leather catsuit (Ultor Assassin) with a utility belt and a hover bike. It has a TON of cheat codes!
Lots of info on where stuff is hidden, the different songs on the radio stations, judging by the contents, this game is HUGE!
I know alot of you guys love open world games, I would say if you liked Just Cause, you will love the hell out of this, especially with the Cheat Codes, because I know some of you mod the hell out of games after playing them, you will have so much fun either with/without codes.
Just a heads up, some games disable Achievements if you use cheat codes, so if you are going to do it, maybe look into the mechanics of cheats.
Wildest moment yet.... a chase/shootout involving pony carts being pulled by S&M slaves wearing harnesses and ball gags. Your homie in that adventure is a pimp who always speaks in auto-tune. ???
Just did a tank mayhem mission that was cool, thanks for the tip on money btw, I leave the game running and check in everyso often for the revenue, Have my pistols maxed out and dual wield with explosive bullets, killed the crap out of a falemthrower brute type guy
I bought a house beside water and it had a speed boat which was cool, the DLC bike hovers and flies, even more cool, then I jumped off the penthouse and an icon came up to press "Y" for parachute, even more cool! :-X
This game really hits the mark for me. It appeals to my very twisted sensibilities. Like a review said...it's not art. It's just fun.

Some of the side missions are absurdly funny...escorting a tiger...really? :-D
you guys, particularly Fiach, are so kind to me.
Its just karma mate, you give, you get... or something like that >:D
LOL
I completed the campaign last night. What a weird game... of course they threw in zombies for a mission, as well as a Tron-like mission in virtual reality where avatars battle. Your initial avatar is a commode. ??? There's a space mission and an extreme wrestling mission. Who in the world would incorporate a tiki torch into a game a weapon? ;D
I guess the same people who would introduce a weapon that throws out chum and makes sewer sharks burst out of the pavement to eat people. ;D
There is a cameo appearance by a well-known celebrity.
Saints Row Third is like an acid trip...oh there's one of those too. You are naked and tripping and have to kill several dozen gang members in order to feee prostitute sex slaves. >:D
The words of Bill Murray as Hunter S. Thompson in the closing scene of "Where The Buffalo Roam" come to mind...
"Because it still hasn't gotten weird enough for me yet."
I read a few HST books back in the day, campaign Trail, las Vegas, Shark Hunt etc. A brilliant guy.
I think he killed himself a few years ago :(
Yes...shot himself. N great shock there.
After all, this game is not my cup of tea. I think GTA is more what I like :)
Been a bit busy, so havent had alot of time with ST3, just finished a mission called Decoy, which involved alot of air combat, you hijack a VTOL aircraft and have to destroy enemy bases, it got pretty hectic at times, even a little annoying as the objectives wern't very clear (eg I was in a tank and had to intercept a surveillance aircraft...wtf????) anyway, I reloaded and was in another VTOL, but it was worth it, as now I have my own VTOL, it makes it really easy to get to missions, fly to the marker and eject and parachute :)
The story was pretty weak up until the last few missions, but it seems to be getting more depth now, but, while it was a bit weak, it does propel you towards the next storyline mission pretty well, but it intersperses those missions with "activities" like rescuing hoes etc.
Once you complete an "activity" they become available on the map, so you can pick them up for shitsngiggles as you want them. The game is very predisposed to freedom as well, cops seldom get in your face while you are shooting the place up, so it always has the fun factor. :)
I still havent hit anyone with a purple dildo, (much to Art's disappointment I'm sure), but it's early days yet :)
Oh, I really don't care what you do with your dildos mate, no matter what colour they might ever be :-D

Just saw the game on special offer today at Steam: €7,49 :o
That can only mean the game wasn't such a success as planned, lol
It was very successful actually, they are clearing that version because of the new GOTY edition just been released.
Oh, aha. That got to bring plenty of extras then :)
I was in doubt a while weather to buy the game or not, but decided not to. Got plenty on my mind right now without another awesome world full of soon-to-be-pumped-full-of-lead-creatures :-D
Its a fun game, you can even fly fighter jets around the city along with other more mundane stuff like tanks etc. If you like that kinda game its well worth a punt tbh. :)

Well, these "soon-to-be-pumped-full-of-lead-creatures" are dealing with my daily distraction now >:D 8) :-D
The game is fun!! Not what I had expected. It's better in many ways. I like the no nonsense arcade graphics, I like the fun factor. I like the simplicity, straight shooting your way into trouble without too much thinking, and I really like the character customization abilities.
I flew a yet today, which was a bit disappointing, but steering a helo is an interesting variety on the way GTA does that. SR3 makes it easier, although a bit less spectacular. Steering the yet is easy, but the damn thing won't go fast :-\\
But what the heck, the game is great fun!!! :) :-X
totally agree on the fun factor and indeed, it is different.. not what I had expected, either. Much, much better :)
Still an amazing game and LOADS of fun to play both single player and coop. What I really like is that you can seamlessly switch between SP and coop: Your current game progress, a SP savegame, can be joined by a friend and he can continue together with you whatever you were about to do. Works both ways and the individual XP levels and achievements stay individual so both may progress their own game even if it was in someone else's game. If you already bought a building and your friend hasn't yet, he may do it in your game, save and exit, and continue with his savegame where only his own progress plus what he did in your game will be available. Extremely cool :-X
Binnatics and I keep having fun and joining each other's game :-D

Great pictures Art!I like the one with the base jump and the flying body!! :-X :)
And an excellent picture of that modded gangcar. It looks really cool, but aren't the wheels a bit TOO big :o :-D
+1 for those ;)
thank you, Binnatics :)
Yes, they're a bit big. :-D
Thanks for the specs Art :)
I reckon my rig could handle that :-D
only one way to find out :-()
By the way, I finished my first playthrough some days ago and have a 2nd playthrough going. The one that's completed stays open world and there I still have many challenges, actually hundreds of them, to do. Here is one of them in progress, steal a jet ski. My co-driver has quite an arsenal of fine weaponry at her disposal, one of which a guided missile rocket launcher. >:D
[smg id=6468 type=preview align=center caption="armed jet ski"]
During the game, part of the city is under quarantine and bridges are up.. but traffic ignores it. Causes quite some stunt jumps if you have to cross. The AI, however, fails miserably.. either they blow up on top or after landing on the other side  The police car will blow up on landing, I got a screenie of that, too, but I decided it'd look too faked or produced by those rocket launchers. So here, moments before.. :)
[smg id=6469 type=preview align=center caption="bridge crossing"]
One of the most fascinating aspects of customisation is the character creation. I've seen countless examples in online galleries proving abundantly that you can screw up pretty well. However, here's one of mine. And I like "her" :)
[smg id=6470 type=preview align=center caption="image as designed"]
Looks cool! :-X
The face remodelling options in Art's cap look almost as comprehensive as Poser's :-X
Make that woman's hair blonde and she'd look like Annie Lennox :-()
just did a rating :)
The probably funniest moment in this game.
I have upgraded flashbangs which, at the highest upgrade level 4, turn into what they call a "fart in a jar" thrown weapon that blows up in a green cloud of stinking mist and everybody in it immediately start to puke their guts out, rendering them incapacitated and helpless. However, I had the idea to see whether I could throw one at a helicopter and guess what, they came jumping out trying to avoid the stench
[smg id=6472 type=preview align=center caption="fart in a jar"]
 :-X
Great screeny on that Farty business heheh
 :-X +1 for that funny!
:-D
cheers, PZ :)
I thought I'd create a male Hispanic character that matches my female one and here's a closeup (I found out that choosing "earrings" is the best option for closeups) Kind of an over the top hero model guy :-() Fun to play with your own characters. :-X
[smg id=6473 type=preview align=center caption="my hispanic male avatar"]
OK. The game even allows for smart play, I mean outsmarting the game with its own weapons. Literally. :-D
There is a "weapon" later in the game to which you will have access that is called RC Possessor -- the name already gives it away, it is a remote control device that allows you to control, release control or blow up vehicles. The cool thing about that possessor is that the game does not accuse you when you remotely blow up a vehicle.. helps to get rid of pursuers without adding wanted level. After you fired the weapon at a vehicle in your vicinity, you have a camera floating above and behind it so you can watch your remotely controlled vehicle. The reach is limited but upgrading the weapon gives it quite a nice operating distance of perhaps 100 metres and by upgrading it to level 4 it will have the ability to control military vehicles. Which is what sparked an idea. :-D
There are side missions that require you to steal and deliver vehicles for XP (here it's called "respect") and money. One of those mission givers is fond of military vehicles which means a lot of hassle involved with cops, SWAT and military after you, including battle ship helicopters and tanks.. I like to avoid that :-D
One particular job was to steal a tank from within a military zone, a restricted area of course. Getting in there already gives you a three star wanted level and entering the tank raises it to five stars, maximum. They all want to stop you. A tank may be a tank but is not indestructible and I had quite some trouble getting the job done. I already had a good idea: start a war in front of one of my cribs (a safehouse) and steal a tank just of the same type my employer wanted and put it into my garage. Once you enter your crib, you lose all wanted level and retrieving any vehicle from your garage is without wanted level, either, but no luck. I drove it to the place I knew it had to be delivered to but no marker there.. It just has to be exactly that one designated in that military zone. Oh well.. ::)
Here's what I did.. I remotely drove it out of the restricted zone at three stars and had three of my guys (you can assign a maximum of three random gang members to form some sort of a personal escort) shoot all the enemies until the wanted level was back to zero -- another trick I learned: if your gang kills enemies, it doesn't affect your own wanted level. Which means, if they keep killing and you don't, the game assumes that you have retreated and slowly reduces your wanted level. You need to stay out of trouble and alive, though :-D I helped my gang with my RC possessor, instantly blowing up any approaching vehicles with it. All that helped to get back to zero in a very short time. :)
The next problem: you don't see the destination on the map unless you enter the tank which in return will put you on five stars.. exactly what I wanted to avoid. However, I checked during a prior attempt when I had got into the tank where I needed to go when it was visible on my map, it was in the airport area in front of a "humanitarian aid, inc" building. Of all things. :-D But I knew where to go. ;)
Now the really smart trick. Rather than having to shoot the RC possessor every few seconds and drive the tank a hundred metres, run a hundred metres to the tank and keep repeating that.. I jumped on top of the tank and then shot it with my RC possessor. Like that I virtually stayed in control all the time and chauffeured myself across the city watching myself doing it
So here in pictures.. Having arrived at the airport without any hassle, me on top of the tank, surrounded by my gang. Note there is only the white silhouette on the mini map, not a destination. Also, no wanted level.
[smg id=6474 type=preview align=center caption="rc tank trick 01"]
Here the same position, only this time I shot the tank with my RC possessor. This is what it looks like and what I saw when driving around like that.
[smg id=6475 type=preview align=center caption="rc tank trick 02"]
Now I entered the tank. See the thin blue luminescent pole right in front of the tank, the mission marker, also visible on the mini map. Also, all of a sudden, a five star wanted level and a tank behind and some other enemy ahead (and a lot more to come within seconds). Funny how oh so close I was to the mission marker ^-^
[smg id=6476 type=preview align=center caption="rc tank trick 03"]
And a tap on the gas.. drove about 1m into the marker.. mission accomplished
[smg id=6477 type=preview align=center caption="rc tank trick 04"]
That's how my newly created character inspired me, here a "thumbs up" -- apparently he enjoyed to be remotely controlled by me :-()
[smg id=6478 type=preview align=center caption="rc tank trick 05"]
Oh, and I also enjoy playing as "Marcellus" (Pulp Fiction, anyone? Reminded me of him when I created this one :-D )
[smg id=6479 type=preview align=center caption="Marcellus"]
Just by the way, that tank mission.. there IS an easy solution.
Spoiler
use your mobile phone and call "police forgiveness" -- removes those five stars. You need to unlock it first, though. ;)
You always make the most out of a game, AB! :-X
thanks, PZ :) Yet only if the game allows for it. This one definitely does :-()

Mister Wallace... isn't that the one that got butt-fucked by Zed?
"Zed? Who's Zed?" "Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead" ^-^ :-X
VERY cleaver approach on that tank mission Art! While reading I was indeed thinking of the ability to use the "police forgiveness" phone number, but you can only use it once until it reappears in your phone book. Doesn't the wanted lvl come back when staying in the tank?
cheers :) No, only if you exit and re-enter it.
In order to get the last 2 achievements (out of 83) I needed to start a fresh game, coop only, and play it through with someone. Stiku kindly offered to help me out and we played.. 11 hours straight with 5-minutes-brakes worth 1 hour total. So during 10 hours of intense and insanely crazy gaming, we finished 19 missions and 17 activities, some random mayhem in between, and doing stuff needed in order to increase one's abilities (buy and upgrade stuff which also involved driving or flying around across the game world). We had phases of non-stop laughing, particularly when I saw a photographer which I wanted to activate to get $1,000 but instead erroneously abused her as a human shield and to "free" her of that situation, all I could do was to either throw her away which would have killed her or break her neck, in any way I screwed up that photographer opportunity (actually it counts as a collectible).. and stiku watched all that (and over headset heard me go, "oh nooooo, oh no oh no oh noooo!") and we both couldn't stop laughing for like 15 minutes, so hard I even got cramps laughing and we had to stop playing so I could stretch out to get rid of the cramp
Looking forward to the next insane session. :-() We've reached a "30% accomplished" level so there is still a lot to do. :-D
Here is just one episode, we were on a mission that involved killing aliens (some sort of B-movie production within the game environment) which was fun. :)

??? WOW!
That was a marathon session :o :-D
Reminds me of a time when a mate and I got into a co-op game of Sid Meier's Gettysburg. This was a real-time strategy game circa 1998 (Civil War-themed, of course) where players could command whole brigades of little animated soldiers either against each other, or on the same side in co-op mode. On this occasion we played co-op on the Union side. We battled the Rebs all around Cemetery Hill for about eleven straight hours and left zillions of little blue and grey corpses all over the map until finally, with no headway being made on either side, and with both commanding generals needing to go to bed to get up for w@&k the next day, we called it quits :-()
That night my dreams were filled with images of hordes of little soldiers desperately struggling against insurmountable odds :-D

Those dreams are very recognizable hehehe
The worst I ever had was after playing hours and hours in a puzzle game where you had to find your path through numerous blocks, stones, bombs, flames and eating scissors. Man I can tell you that next morning I did not feel well rested :-D
Here's a mission which I cant even remember because of that laugh attack. (I was laughing to hard that my eyes were completely shut :'()
That session had those moments, that now aren't so funny now, but then were the BEST.
[smg id=6500 type=preview align=center caption="SR3 gameplay"]
lol I remember that one, you were laughing and the moment you opened your eyes, apparently, was when one of those carts blew up which gave you another laugh attack (and me)
I didn't dream about the game, which surprises me. I was actually expecting to dream and sleep miserably but it was all good. :-D
Here, so you guys know what I meant about that photographer. This one I didn't screw up but the funny thing is, I discovered it (like the other one) during a mission which this time was even on a count down timer yet still I found time to do that. :-D On the mini map you can see the blue arrow to the East which indicates Stiku's location. Not exactly near by  "HOS" meaning more than one ho, short for whores. We needed to pick them up and return them to a collection point (erm, their "office") :-D
[smg id=6501 type=preview align=center caption="photographer"]
Was this the one, that I tried to get 2 whore's into a 2-seater car :D
Took me about 5 minutes to realise, that they aren't going to fit in that coupe car and got a 4-door saloon instead.

"I have one in my car but the other one just stands there"

Congrats on those achievements mates! It's a true achievement having done all that and I remember the relief when finally the sign pops up...
