My answer,
I edited so that others can answer without seeing my answer.
Spoiler
Ridge just east of the Bowa Seko airport, Rock outcrop where your right hand is, there is usually a merc with a rocket launcher, or is it an RPG ? I forget, but it does go boom.
Spoiler
Close - the opposite side - the RPG guy is across the airport from where I am. I used the high jump to get to this normally unaccessible site.

Yep, I should have noticed the sniper tower to the right and the house/ building with the ammo dump to the left.
I guessed correctly (verified with the spoilers) but it took a moment. I kept thinking, "It looks like the ******** but something's not right..." I've never seen it from that angle before, good one :-X
I'm now methodically working my way through each area looking for new sniper vantage points - screencap quizzes will be from unusual locations :-()
I'm surprised how easy it is (for me) to recognise the spots you depict in your quizzes as long as buildings are involved. Unusual positions don't distract me. But I know I failed miserably when you posted pics asking where that tree was or some such
Yes indeed - the buildings tend to give it away to veteran FC2 players - the only real difference is the vantage point. :-()
for a moment I thought you were going to say "vintage" :-D
:cheesy: was going to... didn't think I had to

Yep, the vantage point got me. I should have enlarged the picture and really studied it
before answering. :)
That's one of the fun things about playing modded SP - you have new places from which to attack areas, and post screencaps. :-()
Hmm I think I have to adjust my jump height too. Was very annoying yesterda when I couldn't reach the diamond case north of Shaswana on top of the old bus. I mean they are mercs and can't climb a bus with the help of a crate in front?
:-D
Ahhh.... nothing like an early morning drive to clear one's mind...

You know, I've never been up to that hang glider in the last pic? Ostensibly it's used to get to a diamond case which is sort of nearby but you actually don't need it to get there, so I've never bothered going up to the glider.
Cheers PZ, I have somewhere new to check out now :-D
After killing the DJ and blowing up the radio tower that hillside opposite showing in PZ's glider screenshot allows the quickest rout back to the GP to meet back up with your BB for their rescue. I know that the action waits for you to get there before it starts but I like to race to save my buddy as if getting there quickly really matters. ;)
I will often park my GLAT so that it's ready to race up that shortcut to complete the mission and after wiping out all the mercs in Weelegol village use the buggy down on the South side of the village to drive up to the radio shack to take care of business and then back to where I've left the GLAT. I'll need to see if the buggy can reach the glider which should make for an interesting side trip to get back to where I've parked the GLAT.
I use the same technique mandru uses with the glider on that mission. Typically I like to hit Weelegol from the high ledge where the mercs don't get much of a chance to hit me, especially with flamethrowers :-()
It is fun to fly over the village, but you had better cleared out the place first else a face plant in in your near future.
This one is kind of easy for you FC2 experts.

I never thought of using the glider to exfil ::)
Cool, a new thing to try next time I'm in :)
My goal is to land on the back of the patrol jeep with the mercs when they drive away from Weelagol >:D
Good luck with that :-()
My favorite way in attacking the pipeline is to enter the area via the guard post across the canyon - use the mounted grenade launcher to dispatch the enemy and then use the glider to fly across. :-()
That's my fave also :-X I like to sneak up on the sniper and plug him with the 6P9, and often I can get the other guy from the top of the tower stairs while he's hanging around near the grenade launcher. If it comes together, the mercs at the pipeline won't even know anything's up until the bombs start landing >:D
Once, I took out the sniper but couldn't spot the other guy. Turned out he'd gone for a leak behind one of the other shacks and I'd crept right past him. He gave me a rude surprise when he came out :o
I find when I use that approach that there's always a couple of mercs in the compound after I've glided over. I could never w@&k out whether they survived the shelling or if they've respawned in the time it takes for me to get to the glider and sail over. I try to get up onto the compound's sniper tower before they spot me, most of the area can be covered from up there.
Before I step up to the grenade launcher, I wait for a while showing myself for a second or two to keep them interested until virtually the whole compound is on the edge of the canyon trying to get a crack at me. Then when it is time to mount the launcher, down they go... the lot of them >:D
Which safe house was this snapped from?Spoiler
The one just above the southeast bus stop in Bowa

Ah I see you are a fan of the homemade machete. Although it looks really brutal I prefer the primitive most and also the modern one. :)
I don't think I've tried the primitive machete, must do next time.
My quiz answers:
Spoiler
#1: The safe house near the Bus Stop east of the Marina in Bowa-Seko (I think)
#2: The checkpoint at the start of the trip south across the desert between the Northern and Southern Districts
#3: The house where you come to after the mid-game sandstorm (and the Jackal is pulling a piece of wire out of your leg)?
That's interesting fragger what you Aussies call wire we call 3/8th inch rebar but then I guess that stands to reason...
Spoiler
...We did after all need Nick Dundee to show us what a knife was. :-D
My answers:
Spoiler
First desert pic shows the end of the rail road somewhere near the crossing between Leboa and Bowa, the second pic is where you wake up after you dropped off the truck with dead bodies, with the jackal giving you one of his speeches that even makes the sand storm run away and disappear :-()
lol mandru

No doubt we call it that too but I'm not much up on my metal products nomenclature. To me, if it's long, thin, made of metal and less than a centimeter thick it's wire, if it's thicker than that it's a bar ;D
I'm not an expert on it either but in my way of thinking if if it goes "tink" when you drop it it's wire and if it goes "clank" when dropped it's a bar. ;D
Neither am I an expert on it but when someone goes "oh, you dropped.." when you drop it, it's wire, and when someone goes "AARRGHwhatthefffffffreakingHELL!!" when you drop it, it's a bar. :-D
You guys are good! :-X
