Title: Videos
Post by: Dweller_Benthos on December 29, 2014, 06:38:32 AM
Thought they should have their own topic, so here is the place to drop them.

New one from me, some more clips of general fun. First up, a living dead girl, or dead living girl, depends what your point of view is, but she was a dead dead girl once she got run over, lol.

Then I take advantage of a guy answering the call of nature.

Yes, Virginia, you can skin a rat.

Actually some good shots with the bow (don't take this to mean that I'm good with the bow, you're just seeing the clips where I get lucky).

Elephants, yes, they grab you by the ankle and bash you against the ground. Protip: Elephants love water, rhinos do not.

Ummm what else, oh yeah, land a gyro-copter on a bell tower and avoid all that climbing.

Some other fun times sprinkled around as well.

Far Cry 4 action (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESvTYi5MTlQ#ws)

very nice :) I did most of the bell towers landing right next to that fuse box but there is at least one tower that is located on too high grounds so the buzzer will start to stall and break away when trying to land it next to the fuse box. Of all towers, it had to be the one that requires you to do a giant leap across the inner centre to grab on to a ledge across and above you. As far as I know, it can't be done without help of a certain skill.

Spoiler
use the syringe that makes you run faster and just do the jump as if it was a normal jump

Good idea on the video topic, D_B.  for that plus the excellent video, +1  :-X  ^-^

Your video makes me want to get the game once mods become available that make all the weapons and areas available from the start.  I still have absolutely no interest in ruining my fun with those horrendous main missions

That was pretty cool D_B.  +1  :-X

Your vid is the first thing I've seen that's swayed me towards considering getting FC4.

Great vid D_B! :-X +1 :)

Watching this, and seeing the parallels with FC3 in the watch tower idea, I was wondering: Where will the next FC take place?

My guess is Cuba. ;)

My guess would be Mars - that way the developers could have the entire game full of aliens, bosses, and vanishing warriors rather than just small mission segments.  Just imagine how many more of the 12-year old gamer population they would capture.  As much as the fools of the time complained about how unrealistic FC2 was, the sum total of the entire game had fewer "unrealistic" moments than a single one of the awful FC3 and FC4 missions.

Nicely done, D_B  :-X

funny that you should mention "Mars," PZ. I was actually thinking about the same, the future of FC, and that it might as well be in space, a Sci-Fi tale. :)
Title: Re: Videos

That must be a better guess indeed. First I thought Colombia. Perfect scenario for another out-of-your-mind/bandit-vs-soldiers/out-of-the-ordinary-storyline edition. Then I thought; Cuba. Don't know why. But maybe that's too much to ask. I thought, funny enough, that a step back in time would've been next

Your logic is good Binn  :-X

My thoughts were more along the lines of asking what a Ubisoft think tank would come up with.  My result: what would piss gamers who started (and loved FC2) the most?  The answer: aliens, bosses, and dumb stuff that only a kid would like  :-()
Title: Re: Videos

Entertaining clips D_B, cheers +1 :-X I like the bit with the rhinos in the second one :-()

I've noticed that the elephants are docile, but if they attack and kill mercs and you're still standing nearby, they'll then come after you. Even scarier than a rhino charge  ??? It's as though killing the mercs gets the elephants' blood up or something.

Funny that you mention Cuba, Binn. After doing the fourth and final quest for Longinus (the crazy, bible-thumping arms dealer) he tells Ajay he's leaving. When Ajay asks where he's going, he replies, "South America - or maybe Cuba".

Might be a good prediction you made.

It can be done, it's a matter of running and jumping at the very, very last inch of platform. It took me about ten gos, but I did it. I didn't think to try the syringe :D

Actually I haven't tried using any syringes except the health ones.

Kind of cool - I'm on the PS4 and FC4 allows me to post videos directly to YouTube.  I set the console to capture the last 3 minutes of whatever I have been doing and I can then trim it to satisfaction before the console uploads the video.  Here is an example of using a mortar - I liberated an outpost and found the mortar right in the outpost.  There was a convoy coming by, so I decided to try it - works great!

The mortar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVdjlXxD340#ws)

In the process of liberating an outpost all the mercs were in a group looking for me outside the fence, while I was circling the outpost with the idea of attacking them from behind I happened to spot the mortar on the roof of one of the buildings.
I climbed onto the roof and began tossing mortars at them, they stared shouting and ran around in circles trying to dodge the mortars, I heard one of the guys saying to another one, "he's a arrogant son of a bitch, get him"   :-D
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: mandru on January 09, 2015, 08:25:25 AM
Very cool.  :-X

I noticed when you targeting the convoy it also tagged one of the overhead eagles.  You should be able to tag all dangerous wild life in the area then with the right weapons equipped clear them all out before sweeping the impact site for swag off the dead bodies.  :)

At the very least you can keep an eye on the tagged critters to stay out of their attack range.

Yeah nice vid, PZ. I have some mortar footage I have to get into my next video, that is almost the exact same thing, lol. Except I manage to include some Golden Path guys in the mix too, heh.

And yes, Mandru, looking through the mortar scope tags everything in the area. I had fun just bombing areas in order to get every last living thing.

Thanks guys - the coolest thing for me is that I can now easily share video using the console, something that I could not do before.  Best part is that it goes directly to my YT channel without signing each time because my console and YT accounts are now linked

That mortar is fun, and has quite the range.  I now know how the mortar man in the Lake Segolo area felt.  >:D

It gets harder when you want to hit a moving target, because it takes along time from the time you push fire and the actual explosion.

Stiku makes a good comment - takes time to load, fire, then for the round to get to the target before exploding.  The travel time is dependent on how far you go out with your sight so it can become a challenge.

Title: Re: Videos
Post by: fragger on January 11, 2015, 04:09:35 PM
To get the LK-1018, you need to complete all four of Longinus' missions. Two of these are in the Northern region, so once again you'll have to get through the pesky main ones in the south first. Then you need to buy the L-CAM sight for it. Without that it will behave just like the Carl G in FC2 - as long as you keep the sight on the target, you can guide the rocket to it, otherwise the rocket will just fly in a straight line until it hits something. The L-CAM sight makes the rocket a fire-and-forget. When you sight on a vehicle, after a second or two a chime will sound telling you that the rocket has acquired, then all you do is fire and the rocket will go to the target. It doesn't matter if you break contact with the target - the "smart" rocket will still clobber it, so you can fire it and immediately move on. The rocket will initially go straight up in the air, then it will come down and do a cluster hit on the target, like the mortar does.

Title: Re: Videos
Post by: mandru on January 12, 2015, 07:47:59 AM
I believe I came across a comment somewhere that once you've added the L-CAM sight to the LK-1018 it can not be removed to return the weapon to it's original function of painting the target with the laser and having up to the last second (before impact) control over pinpoint targeting.

There was some buzz about this possibly being corrected through the updates.  Has that happened yet?

I'm all about widespread carnage and destruction but sometimes it may be handy to have some restraint when there are innocents within a strike zone that you don't want to hit.  I can see a tactical advantage to being able to choose between the two different types of strike but unfortunately it would probably require a trip to a weapon shop to make the switch instead of becoming swappable on the fly.

On the other hand it has been solidly demonstrated that this is not a game where you want to stand around any longer than necessary with your eye pressed up against a weapon sight.
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: Art Blade on January 12, 2015, 07:52:25 AM
I haven't tried to remove that visor but I did play around with the launcher as in firing rockets at nothing and then remotely control that rocket by way of moving my launcher around. As long as you don't lock on a vehicle, it can still be used like a Carl-G. Plus the side effect of having a cluster bomb payload.  :-D

Cool, D_B - it would be fun having your co-op partner man the mortar and you to be able to see the cluster explosion from first person perspective

I wish the mortar was portable like in FC2.  Lots of fun to attack an outpost with that
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: Dweller_Benthos on January 12, 2015, 08:23:16 AM
At the one outpost, the mortar is in the back of a truck, but the truck doesn't run, it would be cool to have a mortar truck to drive around in, since the range is a bit limited on them, but that would make it a bit OP, rolling up on a hill above an outpost and raining fire down on them. But that's not much more OP than using the gyro-copter and grenade launcher, which I do all the time. the next video will have some of that action.

When riding shotgun in the gyro, I'm using my entire arsenal, and am not limited to just sidearm.  Fun to hover above an outpost and rain down RPGs, 40mm, sniper, and automatic weapon fire

Question (I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere, but I don't know where to look) - what do you guys recommend for recording vids? I've had some cool moments in FC4 which I would have loved to have captured and shared, but I don't know what the best way is it go about it... :-\\

Example: I'd been driving a vehicle, chasing a courier, and clobbered him using drive-and-shoot. He fell out of his 4x4, and I pulled over so that I could loot him. Just then a Royal Army truck came down the road towards me and I plugged the driver. He fell out, the truck swerved to one side, went up a slight hillside, turning the whole time, then nose-dived off an embankment and crashed right into the vehicles (mine and the courier's) that were still on the road. All then went up in a massive fireball.

Man, I wish I could have captured that sequence :D
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: PZ on January 12, 2015, 11:03:28 PM
The only one I know of is Fraps, which continuously buffers the past 30 seconds of video.  If you see you want to continue recording past the 30 second buffer, simply hit the record key which then saves the past 30 seconds plus anything else until you hit the stop key. The CPU overhead is low - can easily record on my old PC.  Fraps can currently record up to 120 frames per second, I think.

Someone else might know of a different solution.
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: nexor on January 13, 2015, 12:48:34 AM
I also only use fraps, one time after recording an attack I was launching in FC2 I forgot to stop the recording, I continued playing for about another 3 hours, eventually when I saved and logged off I discovered Fraps was still recording.
Only problem is, all that recording fills up your hard drive very quickly, to solve that problem I have a 3TB secondry HD only for Fraps
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: mandru on January 13, 2015, 08:05:11 AM
Since I've long wondered about how to make video captures I'm going to jump in on this line of questioning.

Once you've made your in game vid capture and have a file saved is there a video editor in the Fraps download?  Otherwise what program are you guys using to edit, trim, assemble and add titles to the videos you are uploading?
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: Dweller_Benthos on January 13, 2015, 08:19:12 AM
I use the shadowplay recording feature of Nvidia Geforce drivers and Gforce Experience. If you don't have an Nvidia card, then it won't w@&k obviously. But you can set it to record continuously if you want, and the recording time is an option up to 20 minutes I think, then it starts looping, but I've found about 3 minutes is good, as mostly for those types of things, it's usually a pretty short clip of the last minute or so that you want. I recorded the clip of me hitting the bird with the gyro-copter that way, otherwise I would have missed it. There's also a manual recording option there you can start and stop the recording at any point you want, for those longer segments where you know you want to record like taking on an outpost or something.

It also has options to include microphone input for voice over and web cam input, but I don't think it does anything fancy like green screen. But it's free, so that's why I use it lol.

For editing I'm using a couple years old copy of Pinnacle Studio which I originally bought to edit transfers of old home video VHS tapes. It has some pretty advanced features, but is a bit wonky now and then, especially when editing clip times, it's really flaky when doing that. But the newest version might not have that trouble, eventually I might pick it up. It was around $100 US as I recall.
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: PZ on January 13, 2015, 08:22:34 AM
I just use the built-in Windows application, Movie Maker which allows you to trim, add effects, etc.

The nice thing is that when you render the movie, it reduces the file size by 90% or more, which greatly reduces the time needed to upload to YouTube.  Also, in YouTube itself, you can edit the movie, add effects, sound tracks, etc.  All of the above (except Fraps) is free.  Fraps has a trial download available so you can try it.

If you want to get more fancy, Camtasia Studio is another option that works really well for video manipulation, but is not cheap.

If folks get interested in doing videos on a more regular basis, we should create a topic with tips and tricks

Wow! That was fast.  Ok thanks guy.

I have the Nvidia GTX 680 so Shadowplay is an option.  I just looked at Fraps and see that I need to study up on this a bit more.  I do have full Win8 Office suite on my All-In-One tablet that may have Movie Maker editor to pull files to and render over on that system.

Thanks again for the info.  :-X

Here's a link to Movie Maker for W8.1 (I do not believe it comes pre-installed on W8 machines, at least mine isn't)

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-movie-maker-download (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-movie-maker-download)

D_B, does Shadowplay buffer prior time segments like Fraps?  I have not used that feature except in video recording on the PS4, but it really comes in handy.  For instance, I can't recall the number of times I've wished that I was recording game play that I've missed.  Having that 30-second buffer or already played game makes it a snap to capture everything you like

EDIT: those fools at MS have ruined the new version of Movie Maker - requires you to sign in and simplifies things to the point where it does not do much except automatically share on YT.

Here is the link to the older (reasonable) version that does what it is supposed to do

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34)
Title: Re: Videos

I also use MS Movie Maker, and once the movie is produced I use a converter software called "Handbrake" it is an opensource software. Handbrake converts the movie to mp4 and it does not alter the quality of the clip.
Also, after the initial conversion to mp4 I repeatedly "convert" the same clip, everytime  it shrinks the size of the clip which reduces the YouTube upload time.

What I don't like, the software YouTube is using does screw up the quality of the clip  :-\\
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: PZ on January 13, 2015, 03:36:24 PM
Just curious, nex, why do you convert to mp4?
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: nexor on January 13, 2015, 04:41:45 PM
Converting to mp4 reduces the clip size without loosing the quality, it also helps to reduce the uploading time to YouTube.
Fraps uses avi format, the last clip I uploaded was 4.92GB in avi format, after conversion it was reduced to 40MB in mp4 format
Had I uploaded the avi file to YouTube it would have taken about 6 hours, the mp4 file only took about 70 minutes to upload.
I have not been able to find any converting software that does a good quality Flv format which is what YouTube is using
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: PZ on January 13, 2015, 04:50:13 PM
I see - using Movie Maker I'm producing WMV format choosing the encoded that is best for playback on my PC - the files are really rather small, and the quality appears to be good.

Back on topic, doing this Karma mission was lots of fun - the mission: take out the Captain with a handgun.  Just coincidentally, moments prior I had completed the mission where you run around to the three temples, and unlocked my beloved 6P9, which I had unknowingly equipped with night sight and suppressor.  Man, what luck.

Not quite sure what you're asking, as I don't know what prior time segments are :-)

But you can set Shadowplay to record everything you do all the time, with a customizable time limit. I have mine set at 3 minutes, which seems a good length, but it goes up to 20 minutes I think, which is way too long. Most of the time, if you just had a good run or something funny happen, it's at most a minute, maybe two if you want some intro to run up to the incident, and making any longer segments to auto-record just means you're saving a lot of video you don't need.

You can also hit the manual record button at any time to save a clip when you're sure you want something recorded.

It also will record desktop actions as well, though I've never used it, but if you want a video of you moving files around in explorer, then it might come in handy for a tutorial or something.

I'm not being articulate enough in my question.  I'll try to be more clear with an example.

When I'm in FRAPS or on the console and am playing a game, the software keeps track of what I have already played so when I click the record button, the previous 30 seconds of game play in FRAPS, or up to the prior 15 or so minutes of game play on the console has already been recorded.

It's kind of like going back in time and you don't have to say to yourself "dang, I wish I would have recorded that"

I have also been searching for the right recording program, and so far the only good solution seems to be fraps. Other programs available through for example Steam show many bad user reviews. Fraps is thoroughly tested and seems very reliable. If I buy one, it will be fraps. It costs only 30 bucks after all.

On the .WMV files; I have trouble uploading them to youtube, because youtube thinks it needs to be reconfigured to get a true 1080p look. The result is Michelin men in my videos :-D

There is a workaround but I'd prefer a video format that uploads without trouble. MP4 seems to be the right one so I might take a look what this handbrake program does.

Fraps is well worth it - records very well, is always available for screen captures and videos, and the CPU overhead is minimal enough so I have no problem recording game play even on my old PC.

Plus I believe you still get free upgrades for life

Those look like good alternatives, Stiku, and in a similar price range - thanks for posting!  :-X

I can't quite determine from the product descriptions - do any of them support loop recording?  That is a term that Fraps uses to describe for example a 30 second buffer - when you hit the record key, your play from that point plus the previous 30 seconds of play will be recorded.

An average side mission using a sniper to kill a Captain incognito and then getting rid of his body.  Sniping from across the river kept the mercs off balance, and they never did find my position.  Funny moment - I used a jet ski to cross the river and did not notice that I'd run over a demon fish but I did feel a thump like I'd hit a floating log.- didn't see it until I watched the video

I think it's already been answered, but yes, Shadowplay does loop recording, up to the limit you set, as I mentioned, I have mine at three minutes, so just a quick ALT+F10 will save the last three minutes of anything I was doing.

For what I need to do, Shadowplay does it, and is free, so no-brainer.

And Stiku's video reminds me, anyone tried getting a kill (of anything) with the repair torch? I remember there was an achievement in FC3 for that, is it still possible to kill something with it in FC4?
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: fragger on January 15, 2015, 06:48:40 AM
As far as I know, in FC4 you can only bring up the blowtorch when you stand close enough to a damaged vehicle to trigger the repair prompt. It's not something you can slip into one of your weapon slots and bring up at will.

I may be wrong, but I think that's the case.
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: PZ on January 15, 2015, 08:19:28 AM
What fragger wrote is what I have experienced - the torch only appears when repairing.  Might experiment to see if the torch will actually kill - that would be tough because you're forced to keep the torch open and no other weapon. Once you switch away from the torch, it is gone until the next repair.

@D_B - well, you are "the mapper", after all  :-()  It is too bad that they fold up the map so it has the creases in it
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: Dweller_Benthos on January 15, 2015, 08:23:00 AM
Yeah, folded maps -- booooo.....

And at least on PC, you can bring up the repair torch at any time, on my setup, keybind is Y, that's how I repair the gyro-copter in the last video, as far as I've seen, no matter how damaged it gets, it never brings up the repair prompt, you have to do it manually. So, you should be able to walk around with it out at any time, and switch to a weapon as needed, I just have to remember to do it. If I succeed, video will follow.
Title: Re: Videos
Post by: nexor on January 15, 2015, 08:40:23 AM
I find the blowtorch prompt only appears when I'm close to a repairable vehicle, while I'm in the process of repairing the vehicle and I move the blowtorch away from the body of the vehicle the repair stops and the blowtorch. disappears.

I stand corrected :-()

It occurred to me after I posted that when you get out the repair tool, it stays in your hand afterwards until you switch to another weapon, and you could very possibly run around with it and torch bad guys. Evidently, you can do just that >:D

I also didn't know that you could key-bind the blowtorch. I must look more closely at the setup options in future ::)

Make the enemy even more deadly?  I know some of you guys prefer to play the game at it's highest difficulty setting.  But...  ???

That's the gaming equivalent of an old Laurel and Hardy routine.  Ollie is holding a spike to be driven into the ground and Stan is wielding a mallet.  Then Ollie says  "When I nod my head you hit it. "

It brings to mind the discussion we kicked around way back in FC2 about the camo upgrade being bright glow in the dark pink.  :-D

SA-50 is best if you want mobility and speed when taking down something, someone, Art Blade. But it has its flaws, like the accuracy is sometimes WAY off, you got your crosshair right in the middle of someones onion and you press fire, and realise that you have missed, and that's when all h*ll breaks loose on the camps.  :D

Sidenote: Art is game to me, when I get bored out.

nice one  :-D Your SA-50 may not be as powerful as an AMR but it is powerful enough to kill heavies with a headshot.

Did the required 3 Hurk missions, linear as the main missions but lot of action and enjoyable.
That released the harpoon gun, very cumbersome, not a weapon for fast reaction and quick shooting.
I liberated two outposts and tried to use it as much as possible but got killed more times than I can recall.
I would only use it if I'm out for some fun, otherwise not the weapon for me.
I compiled a clip with a few harpoon shots, was very difficult to get some nice hit without being shot to pieces.

Thanks guys - for some reason I've only had success using the SA-50 when shooting a heavy through the face plate when trying for single shot kills - didn't want to take the chance since there were only two bad guys left and I had the opportunity to take them down since I could get both from behind from my vantage point.

Yes, I have the buzzsaw, but wanted to try completing completely undetected.

Man, that's quite a dart, nex - really throws the targets far!

I really like the planning it takes to successfully go in completely silent, and take out all alarms - typically from several different directions as you set the stage.

You're going to love the open world parts of the game, mandru - the game mechanics seem quite a bit better than what I remember from FC3

Another compilation of clips.

Some dude walks right into the gyro-copter blade and regrets it.
I try to do a sneaky take down of some army guys at a hostage rescue but completely screw that up and have to go with the smg. sigh
Then I put some C4 and mines out in anticipation of some army guys showing up, and they do.
Flying in Shangri-La? No problem.
Noore's fortress, where PZ did it silent and undetected, I do it loud and messy.

GKID7891, coop buddies who have played further through the game can pass their unlocked weapons over to another coop player.

After the completion of Chapter 1 Coop Play is enabled.  If you have a coop buddy who has unlocked all of the weapons once one of Min's troops have been killed and there is a weapon on the ground your buddy can swap his hard to acquire weapons for the trooper's trash weapon on the ground.  Then any of your buddy's weapons you pick up are unlocked in your game.

It's a feature that even has me with my abhorrence for team play (should I run into an impassable pinch point in the game) reconsidering my position.  ::)

Look at that grin in PZ's avatar.  Makes me wonder if he knew what you were asking but was making you dangle for it.

Title: Re: Videos
Post by: Dweller_Benthos on January 28, 2015, 08:06:37 AM
I used the buzzsaw for the first time in the same way, I had just picked it up after getting the last bell tower and had just left the outpost when it immediately came under attack, so I turned around and headed back. I was a bit miffed at having to go back there and take back an outpost I had just finished clearing out, so I took out my frustration on the Royal Army by expending huge amounts of ammo from the buzzsaw. I hardly even bothered to aim most of the time, just swept the gun back and forth holding down the fire button. That'll teach them. I especially find gratification when they know they are beaten and signal a retreat and you can chase after the cowards who are left and shoot them in their running away backs.

Has anyone tried the Vehicle Take Down where when driving you pull up even with another vehicle's driver and hit the take down key.

I managed to take possession in sequence as I caught up to them the last two trucks in a Pagan's Wrath convoy.  I was then able to close the gap to truck #1 enough to switch to the gunner's position and eliminate the leader.

What's with the title Wrath?   :knockout

They actually drive quite courteously and don't even try to swerve off onto the road's shoulders to bag any of the locals as they pass by.  ????

Cool vids PZ.  ^-^

I believe your "right place / right time" video identified the one vehicle I haven't driven yet.  I was sweating the fact that there was a non-respawning fuel tanker at the burn the poppy fields mission site in the South part of the game that I'd blown up before trying to see if it could be driven.

That is unless the two trucks in your vid are the common ones I've been seeing all along and they look different on the PC compared to the console.  :-\\

Thanks, mandru - I'm not positive, but I think I tried driving the poppy field truck and I could not get into it.  In fact, when I did a mission to deliver supplies, after I exited the vehicle I could not enter it again - not sure if it was a glitch or the program.

Here's another way to hunt, but likely there is no hair left on those pelts.  >:D

Thanks Binn - doing the head shots are indeed quite fun, as is sneaking around the forts and outposts.  That was the last of the lot, and I'm going to miss them for a while (until I reset them all for another go).

I now feel the game is worth the $ I spent, even though I am less than 50% complete due to not doing campaign missions - however, I did complete the Prosper Kouassi mission set - they were repetitive like the missions in FC2, and turned out surprisingly easy - used a gyro to do the target tail (I normally don't like the tail missions her or in the AC series.

Last night I also turned off the mini map, and health indicators - felt almost like going home to FC2!  I'm going to play like this for a while.

I don't remember the in game name, but this is clearly a representation of the C96 Broomhandle Mauser, one of the first of the automatic pistols (1896).  It is one of the special weapons with suppressor and optic

The variant featured in FC4 is the M712 Schnellfeuer (Schnellfeuer probably means "rapid fire" in German) I'm glad you enjoyed the FC2 picture  :-D http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Far_Cry_4#Mauser_M712_Schnellfeuer (http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Far_Cry_4#Mauser_M712_Schnellfeuer)

Nothing special, but my first attempt at setting explosive traps for the waves that come after propaganda center items are destroyed.

I usually get swarmed in those situations and don't have time to take counter measures.

I thought a few times I should set traps before starting any rukus, but haven't done any propaganda missions since I thought of it, nice to be reminded, I'll try that next time I do one of those.

In trying to clear all propaganda posters (which I've succeeded in) you will find it helpful to make a note of the locations of the various propaganda center locations when you get to them rather than just trusting that you will stumble back across them in later game play as I did.

I'd bought the Item reveal maps however after clearing the requirements of all but one check off box in the Progress page (for the activity of propaganda poster removal) there were no further location markers on the map for existing posters but there was still in the Progress screen one pesky check off box needed to complete the set.  It was only on revisiting a previously eliminated propaganda center that I found a couple boxes of posters awaiting distribution still on the grounds.  Blowing those boxes up gave me the completion I was seeking.

Now many days later, I revisited another eliminated propaganda center that had a treasure chest map marker I'd not previously collected.  There again even though I'd already completed the poster removal task set there were two red flashing boxes of printed posters that could also be destroyed.  I suspect that if I can relocate all the other propaganda centers the same extra boxes of posters probably will be there too.

Thanks - I actually remained so far away they never saw me, and I took all of the original guard out with the LS-50, then strolled casually in and set mines and explosives.  Triggered them, and the video is the tail end of the mission.  Setting the explosives ahead of time really made these easy.

Thanks for the tip, D_B, I noticed a couple of those boxes, but never thought they would connect to the accomplishment

The latest set of clips from messing around.

Bear race (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ornROi7NlS4#ws)

A couple interesting scenes in this one. Aside from the usual aerial combat, I set up a civilian to fail utterly in a race with a bear, only to have it interrupted by a Royal Army guy with a flame thrower, and some Golden Path join in just for kicks. The underwater location point trick, nothing new, but thought I'd include for the what the hey aspect. A cool buzzer fight with a RA chopper over an outpost where the chopper is the last thing to kill to free the outpost, and after the victory cut scene the wreckage of the chopper rains down on the road, funny stuff. Some lucky C4 plants get some bonus kills, and some vehicle battles that don't quite go my way. Ending up with some repair torch fun that ends badly for me, how else? lol

Thanks guys. That patrol boat was one of my several attempts to get the dang thing all the way to the southern part of the map, but I would always get killed by it from a push that flips it around and smacks me in the face.

I was aware of what she was doing thanks to a post from fragger.
I just didn't know the exact words she was using, so it came as a bit of a shock when I heard first hand.
I was so disgusted by what I heard, that If I could put a bullet into her head there and then I would have, and that's why I walked past her so as to face her when pulling the trigger  >:D

Indeed; how can someone that threatens the population with murder ever be considered an "innocent civilian".  Instead, the game should be offering you accolades for "Killing guilty losers"
