he did mention a mod, which sounds odd because he's on a demo (never heard of being able to mod demos). Still, I liked watching that bus  ;D

I don't think Rico will be getting his deposit back.  ;D

good one eor! - Seeing that limo makes me wish I'd seen everything that happened to get it in that state, but of course I have a pretty good idea!  Must have been a good ride.

Let's just say that Rico took a few "shortcuts" after missing a curve and discovered that a stretch limo is a surprisingly good off-road vehicle.  ;D

lol, I can totally see what happened in my mind's eye, eor123  :-X

I've driven a limo more than once, and with my abysmal driving skills, I've gone off-road each time, but as you said, you can get out of some fairly nasty terrain.

I found a series of "JC2 in slow motion" vids, one example for you to enjoy right away:

yes! these are awesome!  I found them at the eidos forums today as well.  Here is a link to those forums with all of this guys w@&k.  He has like nine of them, and a bunch of them then going in reverse which is pretty cool.

Very nice - I wonder if Rico survived the first jet that was sliding toward him (probably not).  ;D

Those are some great videos.

Check out this video for some amazing stunts with boats:

BTW, how do you embed YouTube videos here?

spaceboy

hey batdog.

to embed here you can go to the Gallery (menu at top) and create your own user album(s).  There is a place to paste the actual URL of a youtube video (not the "embed" code, the actual URL) -you can name the item etc. and when you submit you'll get a new screen which shows the BBC code.  it'll look like this [code is here]  simply paste that code in your post.

Actually, no, as a regular member you can't. User albums may be created by senior members and staff only.

woops, sorry.  I forgot since regular members can create user albums at mygamepages.  Thanks for clarifying Art!

There`s a common folder though, or not?!?!

I believe batdog can embed a video there!

Yes, there is a common folder for videos, and another for screen captures.  Regular members in good standing may submit entries to common folders, but do not have rights to create personal albums.

Here's a short (18 second) clip of the multi-lock rocker launcher - the one that does not require the DLC.  I tried it yesterday and it works quite well, but it seems to lose the icons for the lock (but t does not lose the rocket lock itself).

There have been reported issues regarding the DLC targeting - evidently the targeting system locks onto the base of the target, but if you're trying to destroy the tall fuel tanks, (which are enclosed in a concrete barrier) the rockets never make it to target.

I can confirm that this is true.

While not the official highest point on Panau, this is pretty high and offered a great view of Panau City in the distance.

I wish I had waited a few minutes before jumping and done another capture after the sunset.

Okay...so people like to show video captures of themselves seamlessly dispatching dozens of enemies, capturing each explosion with just the right camera angle.

Well...this isn't one of those.

I had the assault planned very well: gather all of the items; place explosives on the statue and the gas pumps; detonate from the bell tower and let things cool down; glide over and take out the Colonel.

Nice plan.

Once again I hooked the bell by accident, crashing through three floors of the bell tower.

I managed to find a remaining inside ledge at the top of the bell tower. Still good cover. Pressed the detonate button...nothing happened.

There seems to be certain sequences of events that render all or some previously placed explosives inoperative. If you switch to grenades before detonating the triggered explosives, this causes problems. I'm not sure what happened here but I placed another charge on the statue and a govman went to alert before I could place new charges on the gas pumps and get back to cover.

I blew the statue and ran to the gas station under fire, taking out the station with the revolver. It was at this point I thought I'd better start a video capture because I knew this was turning into a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

In the chaos that ensued I managed to almost kill myself with a grenade that took a bad bounce off a light pole, jumped and rolled when I shouldn't  and didn't when I should have, wasted valuable time trying to kill will poorly aimed melee attacks, and worst of all didn't remain facing things I blew up for cinematic effect. You'll have to forgive me. I was a little stressed at the moment.

At the conclusion, after shooting down three helicopters and killing 2-3 dozen govmen I reach the Colonel and stand just meters away as I frantically pull the trigger on an empty machine gun. I managed to shoot him in the face with the revolver after a few tries. I picked up some ammo for my machine gun, completed the settlement and almost got away. I managed to box myself in with no cover in which to heal  from numerous wounds.

If there was a Level 6, I think I would have reached it here.

I died, but as Rico says, "It was worth every minute."

Nice story and video eor  :-X

I can almost feel the game as I watched the video - have been in that kind of position many times before.  The next time, I'm going to use the multi-lock launcher to see what it can do.

Don't you just hate those grenade ricochets?  ;D

spaceboy

great stuff eor - the grenade bouncing off a light pole  - yeah I pull stuff like that all the time (in all games with grenades).

nice story and vid, Eeyore, I can totally relate  ;D :-X

A few short video captures:

When Rico retrieves the skull at the highest point in Panau and you receive the "Top Of The World" Trophy, he exclaims, "Look Ma! Top of the world...again!" I wish I had known he was going to do that so I could have captured it. I did capture the view.

Heard about the Snowman Easter egg. Found it today at the ski resort.

My best Colonel assassination so far...via para-sail and C-4.

that aerial assault was great - what did you do, drop a grenade? I didn't see.  really cool.  also whereabouts is the highest point?  I have yet to get there.

I tried grenades but they detonated before reaching the ground. That was C-4. It is hard to see as it flips upward upward to the left.

Snowman X:23745, Y:13662

I knew it was out there somewhere but prefer stumbling onto things my self at this point.

Otherwise, this is a helpful list:
