I believe mandru was going for this some time ago... I drove this all the way down from up near the Outpost, just for the hell of it:

But I couldn't just leave it there for the arms dealers to take back:

I love experimenting in games like you've done - good one, fragger  :-X

Nice one, fragger  ;D :-X

Cool.

I love blowing up those big trucks. I always regret it when I've finished the last convoy ambush mission. An M79 hit will make those things flip a couple of times in the air.   :-X

Another fun tactic with the big truck - after a convoy mission, stick IEDs all over it's surface and then run full speed downhill into an area - jump out at the right moment and let the truck roll into the place, then detonate.  The chorus of "ahhh....haaaas" is hilarious.

Also on convoys... it's nice to set three IEDs on the ground but close to each other, so all three will be under the truck when you push the button... the combined blast of the explosives plus the truck will take care of the guard AT's and send the convoy truck into orbit  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm playing FC2 right now, and the stories you guys keep posting are the reason for it  ;D

I enjoy that tactic with a convoy truck but I like to place those 3 close together IEDs to one side or the other of the truck's path, off center line so to speak, so that when the truck is doing it's lovely death flip it's also picked up a tight Barrel roll that will sometimes give the ejected driver a glorious boost in loft.

A couple IEDs spaced ahead of the convoy truck's triple and a couple IEDs judiciously behind and if things w@&k just right you can score a perfect hat trick.   ;D :-X

completely off topic: "hat trick" -- I am not a fan of football, yet I do know that expression from German football news or live broadcasts, spelled "Hattrick". I knew it basically meant "three times" as in three games won, three goals shot etc.

Oh dear, you just opened my eyes.  :-X I never saw those two words hat & trick, I used to read it "hatt rick" and didn't get it.  :-[ ;D

Actually in football (that´s soccer for you yanks) "hat trick" means to score three goals in the same half.  :)

Art Blade

yes, I checked the wikipedia; there are several different rules known as hat trick, the one you mentioned can be even more specific: by the same player.

I had a feeling I had forgot to include something when I wrote that  ::) ;)

The term "hat trick" may find it's roots in a magician's pulling a rabbit out of a hat, a seemingly impossible feat.

Actually being pretty anti-sports myself (when I'm with a group and someone says "OK we're going to break up into teams" I cringe) I had no idea that a hat trick referred to a series of three events so my usage of that term for scoring a convoy truck and it's two escorts was a complete happy coincidence.

haha, now we're all a bit wiser  ;D When I said you opened my eyes, I was indeed thinking of a magician who pulls something (white rabbit) out of his hat.
